  6. Bad news about MIC 2.0 quality after a few days

OT question, how is the MIC built ? Is it a frame covered with some kind of material/fabric, or is it molded ?
  7. 4x4 Class 101 (Saving Broncos from Permanent Mall Crawler Duty)

Depends on where you live and what you are in. Personally IH8MUD , mud gets in everywhere and is bad. But it's a great " show off "... To answer your question, no , not all trails are full of water and mud. I haven't read all the thread , but being a guide in my Toyota club, here are a few...
  8. For those that HAVE 4 doors..the next time you put your doors in the back...

Wow that really sucks, had not seen this video. Basically if you decide to remove the doors in the middle of a long trip , you don't have any cargo space left... Betting 10$ too that they must move around a lot the way they are held. They are only squeezed together by that harness, no tracks or...

  10. MY22 B&P and Order Banks

  11. MY22 B&P and Order Banks

Site is very "funky, unstable" prices are weird, doesn't accept Postal code, etc Anyways my reservation is with a dealer, but it would be fun if it was linked to my Ford account.
  12. PSA for 2.7 engine: check belt pulley nut for contact with coolant hose

OT , they are built elsewhere ? Thought DM was the only place
  13. Hardmounted ARB dual compressor with quick connect port installed

I'll be THAT guy... That's an awful place to mount a compressor, its an air sucking machine and they've put it where it will received mud, water and all kinds of other stuff, aside from getting hit by rocks, gravel and tree branches. Sorry. But it is a good compressor and will last forever...
  14. Portable Air Compressors - Tire Fill Times

I have that ARB hard mounted in my FJ, been using it for almost 10 years and it's still going. I keep it has an emergency reserve or to help buddies inflate faster, because i have moved on to a CO2 system. It is a great little compressor, it's not the fastest, but like said before, it does the...
  15. Picked her up today and stranded due to coolant leak. RESOLVED: Secure your coolant hose with a ziptie !

WOW! WTH Ford, i am starting to rethink this truck... That's just bad engineering, who would think of putting a hose that close to a pulley... Seems to be more and more defective Broncos coming out, maybe it's normal if there are more of them or maybe they are getting rushed out and not built...
  16. Details & update for 2021 Bronco Badlands with steering rack failure on King of the Hill K2 Trail

Yeah, the 41 year old Ford is probably better than the new one. Like everything built today, it's built not to last ( Thin foil hat On, lol ) The rack and pinion is probably nothing special, just re-appropriated from another model, that probably was on another model, and so on. It's probably not...
  17. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

The problem is not the product used, it's the fact that closing up that part with another one will hold moisture, water, salt, etc. And leaving it open will do the same. IMHO it's a design flaw, and a catch 22 for people living with the rust/corrosion problem.
  18. Details & update for 2021 Bronco Badlands with steering rack failure on King of the Hill K2 Trail

One of the mechanics gurus here should do a tensile test on the original tie rods vs what's available
  19. Why are you choosing the Bronco over competitors like 4Runner and Wrangler?

Jeeps are hell to drive, uncomfortable, noisy, catch fire... 4Runners are way to big and expensive to me, and Toyota doesn't make the FJ anymore, so i am giving Ford a try. I would never have come to Ford if the FJ was still made. I've had one for 11 years, and if they were still available new...
