  3. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

That is an awesome looking BaseSquatch!
  4. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Coming up on a month since it was built and starting to lose track how many times it has been kicked down the road for shipping. 5, maybe 6 times. Being "Built" doesn't mean anything if the $1500 destination fee can't even move you a state over by truck in a month. IMO it's basically like...
  5. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

It's based on your proximity to the plant. MI and neighboring states to MI, you'll be hopping on the car carrier. Further away and you get the rail. AFAIK MI, IN, OH, PA, IL all get convoy from the plant. I assume WI, KY, maybe WV as well? The problem is that there are not enough trucks to...
  6. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

The lesson I have learned from this, is that I would have gotten it faster had I ordered from an out of state dealer that was far enough away that it would need to ship by rail. I want to slap silly all the charlatans who have chased hard working people out of the trucking profession.
  7. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Also sitting at MAP since 3/20, built but no updates, no line pic either. Holding out hope that it will ship this week, but there are still a bunch of people in the 3/7 thread in the exact same situation.
  8. 🛠 3/7/22 Build Week

Checking in here from the 3/14 build group. Similarly mine was built 3.5 weeks ago and is just sitting there at the plant waiting for convoy since then, and it only has a 6 hour truck ride to get to my dealer. There are a few others like this in the 3/14 group as well. Friday I was able to...
  9. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Got some new status message out of the chat today. "The vehicle is impacted by carrier equipment failure, off loading delays, yard congestion, or Diversion." Yeah, ya think? 😐
  10. Bronco Destination/Delivery Fee Increases $100 on April 13, 2022

100 more dollars to still not even be able to ship what they have built. Convoy Mountain. 🌋
  11. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

...and thus begins another day of refreshing the tracker, hoping for status to change to shipped, and seeing nothing...
  12. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

aaaaaannnndd.... shipping ETA pushed back another week again. It's like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown.
  13. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

In a way I miss the old days, when you just placed an order and didn't have any info until the dealer called you with a nice surprise, that it was ready to pick up.
  14. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Same, 3/16 blend , build finished 3/20. 6 hr convoy to IL and no shipping yet in sight. We're on Convoy Mountain.
  15. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Been in awaiting shipment for 18 days now, there are a few others that have been waiting even longer. And I am just waiting on a truck to take it from the plant, a 6 hour drive to my dealer which is now taking almost 3 weeks.
  16. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

That's a great looking Black Diamond.
  17. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Another day of no shipping, and rapidly coming up on a month since the blend date. If it reaches a month I'm calling it Ship Mountain.
  18. Small Trailer Versus Roof Rack?

Yeah the price on these types of trailers is nosebleed territory these days. The prices on them have gone way up in the past 5 years.
  19. Small Trailer Versus Roof Rack?

It wasn't that long ago and many of these types of trailers new were about $3k - $3.5k. Limited number of small manufacturers, building a specialty product in low volumes, and every increasing demand. Input costs now way up, labor up. And a dwindling number of small surplus military trailers...
  20. Small Trailer Versus Roof Rack?

Will do. IMO if you want a trailer like this definitely make sure it can handle utility duty, unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. While I use mine for paddling and camping a fair amount, the ability to strip all that stuff off and use it as a basic utility trailer for hauling...
