I'm not sure what the real problem is here. Not trying to victim blame, but you knew that dual tops wasn't an option well before this latest email came out. Seems like you should have contacted the dealer to get things straightened out much earlier.
Having said that, you have like 20 options...
I removed tow and swapped from MIC to soft top as well. Tow can be added after the fact, and I was always getting two tops, I just swapped which one I'm getting first. These aren't big issues. You can't add lux after the fact, and you can't add the Sas bits for anywhere near the same price...
My dealer stated that the part no. on the soft top changed. So you may want to call your dealer to swap to the new part no. This would remove you from the August scheduling pool and put you to Sept.
Just to double check, you do NOT want a soft top right? Because you cannot order a Wildtrak with a soft top. With a Lux'd Wildtrak order (which includes a MIC top), you are likely looking at a '22 model, regardless of what your dealer priority code is (11). The priority codes are largely...
So you didn’t end up switching to a soft top then if you still have a Wildtrak.
With a Lux’d Wildtrak with a late Sept. res date I think it’s safe to say you are looking at a MY22
Swapping from a MIC top to a soft top. I originally wanted dual tops anyway, I went MIC first to ensure I had the plumbing. Now that there is a plumbing kit, this is a no brained for me. I’ll get the MIC or color matching top eventually when it’s available.
There isn't going to be a perfect solution. A camera relocate to the winch plate, bar, or solenoid is actually what I plan on doing. It can't break the 360 view, because it's already broken. It fixes the front camera view, while, probably distorting the 360 view in a way that may or may not...
I recently deleted tow from my badlands build. Like you, I don't need the harness (at least not soon), I just need the hitch for a bike rack and a cargo carrier.
I expect that the tow package will not be a limited commodity for very long. I expect these commodity shortages are pretty fluid...
You should probably just ask to speak to a manager and get a new salesperson assigned to you.
I recently made contact with a different manager from my dealer (on this forum, lol) and he got me straight. The main thing is a lot of the sales guys just aren't going to be super knowledgeable on...
Well, there are a lot of things not logical from OP's post. Like making an arbitrary judgement of how much margin that Ford should have put between their engine torque output and their transmission ratings, without also knowing how much margin is baked into the transmission rating and it's...
Understand all of that. But being #2 out of 3 and being #2 out of 80 are vastly different situations. Same as being #50 out of 52 and being #50 out of 300. I get that the situation is fluid, but I also know how probabilities work. I also don't think that it's a valid excuse from withholding...
Man, I really don't get your frustration. Like Zach said, you are probably talking about weeks to maybe 3 month difference in terms of actual delivery date variance here...All with price lock and MY refreshes. And most importantly, you've got a pretty good idea on window for your delivery...
