I thought that was how it worked... but that is incorrect. This works without your phone. It is connected through the mobile connection you car has. Go ahead and give it try. They want your telemetry with or without your phone. o_O

I would prob go with blue.

If the location of the rear holder can be manufactured to allow placement where it is flush or close to flush with the rear door, the cover would then not be allowed to be rolled back unless the rear door has been unlocked and opened. Not sure that is a doable option?
