  1. bare metal vs. powder coat skids and sliders

I guess it depends on how long you want your sliders to last. Different strokes..
  2. bare metal vs. powder coat skids and sliders

Powder coating is an industrial process and will be applied thicker than a can of spray paint. Brother, I'm not telling you what to do, but, I, and I alone, believe that a serious base coat will pay for itself in the long run.
  3. bare metal vs. powder coat skids and sliders

Understand your logic, but bare metal with rust like crazy. You'll be chasing rust spots after every wash or rain. Spend the money, alleviate the frustrations of rust. Yes, you will still have to touch up here and there, but not the entire skid plate.
  4. Don't buy Go Rhino rb20 side steps. Updated.

I see the issue, but don't see a major problem. Stencil out the running board bracket onto the rock slider, remove and trim with handheld grinder with cutting wheel. Primer and paint the exposed cut surfaces. Reinstall the running board. Perfect.
  5. RIGID ROCK LIGHTS

Shit, you can't buy a POS for less than $ 50K these days. Lol
  6. RIGID ROCK LIGHTS

Are these the lights that cost $171 / pair? Seems a bit steep for the average blue collar worker.
  7. Installed amber Rigid rock lights from Ford accessories

I like the idea of these lights. Especially if doing on trail repairs or uses the front wheel cameras at night to aid in navigation.
  8. What is the Ford OEM Soft Top?

    Great thread
  9. Pricing Guarantee Question

$10-20K increase would be a deal killer for me. I've owned Jeeps for years and could easily buy a new Rubicon. Ford really needs to pay attention to their clients.
  10. Ford Soft Top

    Thank you, great review.
  11. Ford Soft Top

Does your soft top have gaps at the roof line that would allow the weather into the cab?
  12. Ford Soft Top

Has anyone heard if Ford has redesigned the factory soft top to address the issues mentioned in numerous posts about not sealing or keeping out the weather. I ordered a hard top, but also would like a soft top for mountain trips. I'm not a fan of how the Best top does not fold completely...
  13. Pricing Guarantee Question

Has anyone experienced an unreasonable price increase?
  14. Pricing Guarantee Question

Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for.
  15. Pricing Guarantee Question

I apologize if this is a repeat thread, but I have an order confirmation from Ford dated 12/1/21 for a 4-door BL w/SAS and LUX package. With that said, should I expect a price increase from my original order upon delivery of this vehicle? If yes, does anyone have an idea what that amount might...
  16. Testing of the Front Hood Lift Supports and Front Door Storage Organizer Box is complete, head to Amazon now!

Love both of these items. Would like to know where and how to get my name on the list. Thanks
  17. ⁉️Swapping from Hardtop to BesTop TrekTop and back?

I hope so. I purchased the NIC, but would like to have the soft top option in the summer.
  18. Will a Bronco need rock sliders to drive the entire Alpine Loop in Colorado?

That's a beautiful drive, but if you have time, start on the Ouray side and drive Engineer Pass all the way to Animas Forks near Silverton. Driven this route numerous times and parts will test your rig.
  19. ⁉️Swapping from Hardtop to BesTop TrekTop and back?

I hate the fact that the Trek soft top does not lay ALL the way down like a jeep or the original soft top. Looks cheap and will definitely grab every limb, branch, or low-hanging fruit that you pass under. Stupid design. Would never buy this model.
