Coincidently just had mine replaced under warranty at 35k miles yesterday, dealer here in CO said they've seen this before and replaced it no questions asked

Just want to point out here that replacing the APIM may restore the rock start screen because it’s running old software but eventually it will update again. Just something to be aware of

I'll be taking the plunge here as soon as we can identify the part number, between this forum and the F150 one there's lots of experienced people who can help make the cluster swap happen. I think the air vents are going to be a lost cause, no way that's not a total nightmare to accomplish

They simplified the boot animation for the F150 also, I think it's just the new design direction Ford is going in. Will probably look good with the 2025 digital cluster, but gonna be funny to have the rocks roll off the current dashboard screen and never be seen again

Unfortunately the CarPlay issues are affecting all vehicles with Sync 4 after the recent updates. Apparently a fix is supposed to be rolled out before EOY (they said October but it's almost over)

Yup, 10.1 debuted a similar style logo on the F150s as well. Glad to see it’s starting to roll out for us, hopefully it fixes the no audio bug with CarPlay
