If you have this happen, you should definitely lawyer up - I think the biggest risk is a court finding no harm (or applying statute of frauds or something) to you, but the scarcity of the car and the fact that they basically locked you in at one price and then adversely changed the deal opens up...

So I have reservation that's slipped from June to August. Hotline said August 16th, but yesterday called and they said something along the lines of "scheduling" week of July 23rd, built week of August 2. Is the former when I should expect an actual build date? Or is that all nonsense?

Hey Zach - is this for build dates specifically, or just the week? Last I checked I was an 8/16 build week, but don't have a specific date yet. Not sure how that works.

I recognize there's no way to know this, but you seem to be more knowledgeable than anyone else: I have a 2dr that's already been delayed from 6/28 to 8/16. Is it likely we're going to see more delays beyond that?

It's probably just better, if you don't currently have a VIN/build date, just to wait until one shows up on your dealer lot and hope for not too much ADM. Waiting another full year until 2023 production when they're telling us some will be sitting on a dealer lot already is absurd.

Can we kill this thread or at least change the topic? Notwithstanding OP's experience with a particular customer service agent, it's verifiably false that Ford isn't giving out build dates to people with VINs.

Called the 800 number, and they told me the date would be between 7/19 and 8/16. Fun!

@MadMan4BamaNATL For sure, trying to avoid the toddler temper tantrum of being told that I have to wait an extra hour for ice cream! It'll get here when it gets here, I guess, but would certainly hold me over if I could do a test drive.

Anyone heard about demo Broncos showing up at metro dealers? Can't wait to get a test drive!

How do you know these are actually being sold? We've seen some show up in dealer websites, but those are supposedly just customer orders that are in process of being built/delivered.

@ATLBronco75 I just wish we could get a 2dr here in Atlanta. The dealership ones and these were all 4drs.
