The elevated idle speed at cold start, is there a way in ForScan to eliminate it for regular idle speed?

If you have some isopropyl alcohol, empty spray bottle and a microfiber rag, that should clean the surface up of all greases / oils perfectly. I sprayed mine down liberally and wiped it with a microfiber towel. The trim pieces stuck on very well after that. Not sure a "wipe" would be good enough...

Baseball cap (adjustable) - I just slide it over the turn signal stalk and let it hang down. Never seems to get in the way of driving or getting in/out of the car. Keeps it secure too when windows are down (or out).
