  1. The IFS vs SFA Thread

Nothing wrong at all with wanting a V8. Heck, if they do end up being an option I'll take one too. I'd rather have a narrower overall vehicle with the same length of control arms though, if that would be the cost of being able to fit a V8 into it. The GT wasn't forced to use the 3.5, they could...
  2. The IFS vs SFA Thread

It's not just CAFE. Jeep have stated multiple times that while the engine fits, it would be impossible to pass crash tests. From Jeep head Kuniskis (https://www.autoblog.com/2019/04/09/hellcat-motor-jeep-wrangler-and-gladiator/): "There's no air space around the engine [...] so you have no...
  3. Here's the Baby Bronco's Front Grille & Headlights Leaked!

Yep. It could be a grill for either with the info we know. In general it looks pretty good though, so I'm fine with it either way.
  4. The IFS vs SFA Thread

Deal. That's a long drive from Canada but I love a good road trip. :D
  5. The IFS vs SFA Thread

Honestly? Yes. Except you missed the part where it needs to come in 2 door form. 2 door, swb, good styling, ranger raptor suspension, 2.7. That'd do it for me. Nobody makes such a thing. If they can also make a version with some sort of crazy rock crawling ability to kick the aftermarket into...

The official word on the issues:
  7. Here's the Baby Bronco's Front Grille & Headlights Leaked!

Nice! Seems to line up pretty closely with the shape of the front of the baby bronco
  8. The IFS vs SFA Thread

I don't think the numbers are inaccurate - people are definitely buying stuff form MOPAR. I think the assertion being made here (which I would be inclined to believe) is that the people buying all the dealer offered MOPAR accessories and the people actually using their jeeps hard on extreme...
  9. Bronco R in action, BAJA 1000

Has there been any official report on the crash? I've seen it mentioned here but can't find anything official. Ford Performance's twitter mentioned: -Broken Skid Plate -Broken control arm -Broken cooling fan
  10. Bronco R in action, BAJA 1000

Looks like the only other class 2 vehicle, the SCG Baja Boot, did finish the race - they came in at a bit over 33 hours, the 2nd to last vehicle to finish. Disappointing for Ford. I'm curious how their marketing department will try to spin this one.
  11. Bronco R in action, BAJA 1000

    Cooling fan issue now.
  12. Bronco R in action, BAJA 1000

Whatever it was they seem to have resolved it, they're back on the move, 2.5 miles behind the SCG Baja Boot.

Your Tacoma didn't have a solid front axle or a lot of the gear I see either when it rolled out of the factory. The question is if you could build that why can't you do the same for a new bronco?
  14. Tesla Cybertruck

As far as I can tell...It won't be. There's a bunch of stuff that isn't street legal on this. Headlights and mirrors as you mentioned, also I don't see a center high stop lamp anywhere. Definitely some changes will be needed before the final production version.
  15. Design: still too early but...

:crying: But in all seriousness, if they do that it would honestly be pretty cool. But it would mean the Bronco for me would become a 'purchase used in a 3-5 years when it'll be possible to swap the IFS onto a 2dr' instead of a buy new vehicle.
  16. With some design elements now known... Are you buying the Bronco?

That's exactly WHY I like the systems that mirror your phone apps so much. All I really want an automotive infotainment system to do is play the music from my phone, and show the navigation app from my phone mirrored onto a bigger screen. So long as a system supports Carplay/Android Auto, it...
  17. Ford Mach E prototype spotted for the first time

I don't really care about what is or is not a 'Sports Car', but if you go back, he was talking about a 13 second 0-60 time, not 1/4 mile. The Miata is much faster than 13 seconds 0-60. And has at least 90whp.
  18. With some design elements now known... Are you buying the Bronco?

I definitely want a screen, and one bigger than my phone...but 15" is way too big and I also would strongly prefer a landscape orientation screen, and as other people have mentioned, it needs to be well integrated into the dash, not plunked on top.
  19. With some design elements now known... Are you buying the Bronco?

IWE = Integrated Wheel End. It's the Hub/Bearing assembly. I am not entirely sure if IWE refers only to the ones that engage/disengage automatically using a vacuum system or just any Ford Hub/Bearing assembly. I had never heard it before looking into Bronco stuff either, seems like it's an...
  20. Ford Mach E prototype spotted for the first time

It may be sooner than that but only in designated car-free zones as you mentioned. Large urban centers will likely be the first targets. We won't see the complete removal of human drivers in rural or even suburban areas for a very very long time.
