Yeah, even knowing that I was getting rid of the car, it would still really bother me to drive around without changing the oil. I don't think I could do it.
We really need to stop driving ourselves crazy trying to figure this out and just accept that its complete random luck. His Bronco was simply in the right parking spot at the right moment. 🙂
Congrats Oceanfabreze! I'm happy to hear that you made it off of Ice mountain.
I know. Its frustrating, isn't it? Clearly, no one at MAP can be bothered with FIFO or other time-proven manufacturing processes. But don't worry! There is a light at the end of the tunnel! :)
Oh, wait. No. That's not a light at the end of of the tunnel...its a damn check engine light! What's...
I don't think that they are even trying to work through their backlog at a steady pace. I think they are going to just chip away an indiscriminate amount of Ice Mountain using whatever spare part they may have on any given day. Considering Fords announcement that they will stop taking new orders...
YES!
I love seeing that some of these 1/17 build week Bronco's are finally making their way to their owners. I haven't seen many of these posts, but it's still a victory and hopefully a sign of more to come.
Congratulations!
You think that being the last built means your last in line? Ha! Your thinking is far too logical for the situation.
What really matters is the color of your build. MAP employees are attracted to bright colors! You ordered Race Red, right? What's that? You say you ordered Carbon Gray?
Oh. Oh...
I can't reconcile the logic of stopping customer deliveries in a bid to avoid drama due to the fact that failing to ever complete these builds, in itself, creates angry customers and drama.
This would be the equivalent of trying to put out a fire by pouring gasoline on it.
I'm not sure if I'm correctly interpreting your theory.
It sounds like what your saying is that Ford doesn't want to deal with upset customers who are angry about being charged more than MSRP by their dealerships, so their strategy to avoid that drama is to perpetually delay completing customer...
Exactly. The tracker gets messed up all the time, so I wouldn't necessarily jump to any conclusions just yet. Remember when the base model dropped off the build and price, and everyone was saying that it meant that Ford discontinued it?
That being said, if they really did intentionally remove...
Well, its the start of a new week.
Will it be a party celebrating robust progress and lots of movement in the 1/17 build week? Or are we in for another barrage of disappointment?
There aren't many who dedicate the time and resources necessary to keep a vehicle for that length of time and preserve its condition. I feel that what you have accomplished is commendable.
That's awesome, hopefully that gets delivered to you soon!
The Bronco is cool and all, but I don't know; If I'm being honest, I think I was more excited to get a NES when I was a kid! :ROFLMAO:
I agree with what your saying but also feel that positive attributes provided by the Bronco when used as a daily driver are being overlooked. I wanted to point out that a Bronco that is never taken off road does provide more than just rugged looks that makes the driver feel cool.
You can put...
I don't have a Bronco yet, but I do know that it does, in fact, automatically apply throttle when your taking off from a stop. I've seen this mentioned and demonstrated on a few YouTube reviews of the Bronco.
I test drove a 7 speed at the dealership before I placed my order, and there was no...
