The 35s will weigh more, and it's rotating weight
If you get your 35s by way of Sasquatch you get new gearing to help with that. But if you just put bigger tires on you will have slower acceleration. And even if you do get Sasquatch, your bronco will likely brake a bit longer than one with...
Be sure and get the big motor, that 3 cylinder is a real blatant cost cutting measure. Very rough running. Motortrend, Edmunds, car and driver, consumers reports, etc... They all hammer that motor
Get the 4 cylinder or consider other options
It'll be interesting to see how fast these things are
Speed comes from HP
270 vs 300 would tell me that the 6 will probably not be much faster than the 4 in terms of 0-60.
I'd bet a 4 cyl 2 door could dust a 6 cyl 4 door in a drag race with the weight difference between the two.
But these...
You can get a ballpark idea by looking at ranger or f150 with those same engines, but if ford doesn't give you the information you need you can certainly hold off on placing the order. Don't feel pressured to order without knowing the info you need.
Nope, I haven't. I'm not shopping that segment
But even if I was, I wouldn't bother. 3 cylinder is a fundamental failure. With so many options available there's no logical reason to consider one with such a major shortcoming in such a critical component.
3 cylinder cars are failures, who...
That's just old thinking
With some electrics having 300 mile range and charge speeds constantly improving you can easily go electric without much compromise
No oil changes, starting every day with a "full tank"
Chargers are all over the place too
I dislike Tesla but they have made electric...
Unless you want a car, then ford says buzz off we stopped making those
Kidding
But the generator/power station on the f150 hybrid.... That's some great thinking there. Very smart
We should all berate it together, the CUV segment is the volume play in the market now. RAV4 outsells Camry, crv outsells accord.
There is fierce competition for huge sale volumes and ford shouldn't get a free pass for making a substandard engine the main motor. Sure the 2 liter is much...
Forgive me if I'm mistaken but doesn't the escape have the same engine, a 1.5 liter turbo THREE banger?
Your wife's car doesn't have that and that engine is the main problem with the escape and the bronco sport
3 cylinder engines are not refined...
Bronco sport should be on nobody's radar
It's basically a ford escape with a body that looks like a cartoon version of the real bronco. The escape is pretty consistent in being last or close to last in every comparison test ever
If you want that small cuv form factor go look at a cx5 Mazda...
Look at the open top pictures, it's a small puck on top of the rear roll bar and under the roof
And sidenote, the whip antenna is pretty crappy looking. But with the removable top it's not like they could have put it on the back glass or rear side glass as is typical. I don't think the front...
The SS was really cool, but unfortunately nobody actually bought them. I knew a guy who picked up a new one that had been sitting on a lot forever for like 35k,. Dealers had to discount the hell out of them to move them
I think GM tarnished the brand beyond repair on it's own with that low performance cartoon imitation of the H1 they called an H2
Yeah let's make it both really slow and really thirsty, and if they could make the interior out of leftovers from 1990s GM parts bin junk that'd be great
They used...
Good adaptive cruise is great, bad adaptive cruise is scary
I've used a lot of rental cars, and a Corolla had the worst I've found, and a ford fusion was one of the best systems for me.
It is silly these days when features like adaptive cruise are basically standard equipment on a Subaru or...
The demand isn't there, dealers bring in manuals and they rot on the lot. The last few cars I've bought I special ordered because I wanted a manual. If enough people did that, the dealers would start to stock manual cars again.
A long time ago I used to hate auto because it was always in the...
