It would be interesting to possibly add Blend/Build date of the vehicle to the mix.
I checked my engine sequence and it aligns fairly close to the original blend/build date I had of June 14th. June 9th engine build date, and a July 15th actual blend/build.
I also find it interesting that...
This doesn’t make me feel good.
just checked and my sequence number is “…21160120013”. Just over 1500 on the vlick and no issues yet.🤞
Drew Peroni had a failure on his. Would be interesting to see what his sequence is.
That grill is sweet. This whole build came together very nicely.
There tends to be a sea of junk builds at SEMA, but you do find some real quality built rides.
Right. From a PN, you may get a Pin-to-pin. Fox usually doesn't give out spring rates, valving, or end mounting conditions. They don't even give this data to their customers/distributors either.
You would need to buy a set and reverse engineer that type of data. Or reverse it from the OEM unit.
Just checked after letting it sit overnight. It's right at the max fill dot/hole.
There's nothing that I saw that would lead me to believe that it didn't want to take 7 quarts.
I used to design aftermarket shock kits for vehicles.
You may be able to find pin-to-pin numbers online, maybe spring rates as well.
But that would only be a small fraction of what is needed to integrate a non-OEM shock absorber.
Even if something fits, there's a lot of trial and error in...
So. Just did my first oil change on my 2.7L BL. I was dreading the big drain plug, but was a lot easier than I thought. No huge mess that I envisioned.
Yes. That dipstick tube is a pain.
When refilling, I added 6 quarts and checked. Bottom of the dipstick, 1 quart low. Added another quart and...
The lower end caps are a dead giveaway to Walker.
I believe they are the only off-road shock company the uses thread in seal caps vs wire retainer (besides Fox Raptor OEM IBS shocks)
There are a few points in their shock design I could pick at, but overall, they look good.
I agree on Aux Switches.
You can't even buy the sealed switches, fuses, relays, and wiring for the sell price from Ford, let alone spend the time to run the wiring and installing it all.
I’d be curious as to if their lead time is correct. I asked (safelite) when I got my crack filled and got a “6-8 months” timefeame for a complete windshield.
Not too hard. Just took mine off. They kinda hang there with the studs that go through the seam. Don’t need to hold in place while loosening or tightening hardware.
Mine sat at a rail yard for 2 weeks. No drivers was the issue. The dealer tried to do their own scheduling to pick it up but the yard wouldn’t release it. Was slotted to be another week out till delivery, and then it just showed up.
Hang in there. You see your Bronco soon!
