Got an Auxbeam off Amazon, it popped up as recommended. Mounted to the side of the bumper, hoping they’re tucked in enough to keep the worst rocks and mud off. Drivers side pictured.
I found out just how easy and awesome the factory upfitter switches are?! I’m a “modify out of necessity” kinda guy, I haven’t done much but beat the crap outta this rig, but since moving to the hills and having an extended early morning commute through fog, I felt I needed amber lighting.
I’m...
Outta the two tires you mentioned, I’d go with the AT4W’s. The compound on the Baja’s is a little softer ( for rock and snow ) and more open on the edges, which will probably wear faster on 50% gravel. The harder compound ( for towing and rigidity ) and closer tread blocks of the AT4w should...
Pulled the drivers door while I was airing down at the trail head today, chucked it in the back and left it there until I got home - it was great having it off on the trail! Ran into some wild horses too, beautiful…
I can’t help but think of the new Goodyear RT as the affordable Baja AT?!.. I think the tread comparison can’t be denied, the sidewall seems beefier on the Baja certainly, but if budget is a factor, the Goodyear runs about 20% less - both great tires really, no losing either way
Love the jeep stories! I met a guy on trail, had coffee and a visit, nice fellow. Asked if I’d been up a particular run that proves difficult for stock rigs, I said no, he said follow me. So I followed a jeep with a lift, 37’s and 5:13’s - Badlands never missed a beat on the vertical rocks, he...
I gots a ‘24 Badlands, 2.7, HOSS 2.0 w/ heavy steering rack
Two things I noticed about where / how you’re driving, 1/ heavy snow - 4A is wonderful in snow and ice, especially with quality tires, 2/ not much rock crawling, mostly trails - I impact my skid plates more on rutted, uneven trails...
While I respect you taking care of your rig, I’m begging you, please sir - get the top off! - I would’ve been driving a wrangler years ago if I had known the joy of going topless?! 😄
I’ve got a ‘24 Badlands ( hard top, non sas ) - ZERO issues, it’s been good everywhere doing anything I want it to?!
The drive train has been flawless, hard top was assembled well, and it’s like I always tell people - down the road, whatever road, it’s like Cadillac built a tank, smooth...
