My after market wheels and tires just got here today. Thought I would follow-up on this topic with some technical backing from my earlier post and with some expert backing. My son is a diesel mechanic and so I asked him about this. He gets this all the time and his boss/shop foreman had been...
I was frustrated with my much prolonged process with my ordering, building, and delivery of my Bronco to the point I actually started looking at alternative vehicles. Glad I have price protection! I have a pretty darned loaded Badlands order......due to be delivered in the next week or...
FYI......the OrderTrack app is NOT a Ford app. A B6G member built that app and it evidently has a path into Ford's data to report the information there. It had a server failure in recent times and I am not seeing consistent data from that on the number of days in status and such. It is...
Listen, I get your frustration. My Bronco sat for 80 days as "AWAITING SHIPMENT." WHile I wish Ford would have been transparent as to why that was the case, I think there were three likely scenarios. 1. They lost my vehicle. 2. My vehicle failed to pass Quality Control (QC) checks and...
Their schedules change frequently and dramatically at times. My rail car was supposed to be in Chicago yesterday after coming back west from Cleveland.......only to have been told two days ago it wouldn't get to Chicago until this Friday............only to call this morning and my rail car was...
You are right, they are not a customer-facing (customer-focused) organization. I have heard their future vision is all their orders will be like our Broncos......build and price online, click a button, and get a vehicle. If they truly think that will be the future, they better fucking figure...
Mine finally shipped a week ago after 80 days in the "AWAITING SHIPPMENT" status.
If you are using the OrderTrack app for days in status and such, I feel those cannot be used any longer since his server crash issue. That is not an official Ford system in case some of you didn't know that. The...
Talk about salt in a wound.........even though mine shipped finally this last Monday I see my estimated delivery date changed once again this morning.........that is my TENTH update. Get this, I am tracking my rail car and this makes ZERO sense. Started in Detroit.....went to Chicago...
I wonder if we shouldn't have started this thread with "DON'T EVEN POST HERE UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD AT LEAST 4 WEEKS OF 'AWAITING SHIPMENT' STATUS." Then again, maybe our fault we didn't call it "EXCESSIVELY waiting shipment thread."
Old thread from the OP, but I'll throw it out there since I just ordered my own 2-door rock sliders yesterday and it is top of mind. Goat Fabrication is having a smoking deal right now on their rock sliders...
NICE! I just called them as well.......no wait, got my price protection certificate number. SCORE!!!! Makes me way more comfortable having that in hand being able to take to the dealer when my Bronco arrives. Thanks!
Very interesting theory. My email and trackers said I was built 8/20 but the "baby" picture I received yesterday had meta-data indicating it was taken on 8/28 instead. End of month a coincidence??? Not sure why that would have anything to do with it......but a head scratcher for sure.
Woo Hoo! I'll be driving it next weekend!! That is, provided it gets moved off the railyard in Willard Ohio where it has been sitting the last 48 hours!
A bit late to this game, but since I just ordered my new wheels/tires yesterday I felt the need to get educated on this. I'll let others judge whether hub-centric rings are required or not, but here is an informative bit of information of what this issue really is and maybe get some insight on...
Asking $2500...............cash only.
I am in the Denver, Colorado area and may consider a reasonable request to meet somewhere in between to deliver......front range consideration, only. Further from Arvada, CO, the less flexible on price consideration.
EDIT/UPDATE (11/29/2022)...
