Exactly!
Good pics and rig! And you donāt even have to flex it like youāre doing in the pics to have 37s rub lol .. Iāve done a lot of trimming to eliminate most of the rubbing with my setup ⦠and it will still rub, just takes enough speed haha š
FYI - the guys that say theyāre running 37s stock and have no rubbing off-roading either arenāt doing anything other than going slow on a flat dirt road, or they seem to think thereās an award š„ for saying they donāt rub lol.
Fact - all 37s will rub if you flex your truck. Itās just a matter of...
I would consider UCAs if youāre putting on Fox 2.5s and plan to flex it. Also plan to do some rubbing mods, plenty of threads here on it. I just did the last one on mine, cutting out the lower forward liner and pinch weld of the rear wheel well. And dialed up the LS and HS compression on the...
Exactly! ⦠it amazes me how many people fell for AND bought his silly tie rod brick𤣠⦠the fact that he canāt drive for squat is a different topic but indicative of his competency š¤”
Yes it will rub, likely a lot with 13.5. Anyone that tells you otherwise has no idea what theyāre taking about or they never drive over anything bigger than a stinkbug and never turn full lock lol ⦠just search the many 37 rubbing mod threads.
They must not be ātrue 37sā if they ābarley rubā ! š² But Trust me, if you donāt do some trimming they will rub plenty when you push both rear wheels straight into a ledge, and you have to back up and give it the beans to get over it. Both the front and rear of the rear wheel well require liner...
Kindof agree ⦠and a good spotter is way cheaper š
I have to admit Iāve found being able to cover 4x the ground in the same amount of time in my SXS in Moab is pretty fun !
Ohhh ⦠then here is MY summary answer to your question, itās what I have. You can certainly go with less expensive pieces parts. Short answer is a āliftā and wheel choice isnāt all that you will need to run 37s if you want it really functional off road.
Fox 2.5 coilovers, Camburg UCAs and...
Interesting. Seems mine came with more front preload than yours, but like I said the rears have almost no spring preload, so like Accu said it sounds like I have a different spring in the back š¤·š¼āāļø
I never actually changed my preload from stock after I bought the 2.5 spanner wrench that...
I donāt see a PN peeking under the truck.
I did just measure mine for the hell of it, and Iām at 7ā tire to flare in front and 6.5+ in the rear ⦠but it looks level to me lol (37ā Nittos which are one of the tallest 37s I think ). Iām assuming the OP is on 37s, so interesting the ride height...
Thats odd! Iāve had my Fox Coilovers on my 4dr First Edition for over 1.5 years (I got one of the first sets available ). It sat perfectly level right after install and it is still level, even with the 80lb 37 Nitto hanging off the back. I expected a little drop in the front after a while but...
When you say āhow much lift do I needā ⦠to do what? ⦠a lift just to eliminate most rubbing driving to work, or actually a functional lift for wheeling?
Even with a 3ā lift in front youāll have to address rubbing. If youāre just getting 37s for looks, get some perches, run BFG K02s (...
