good points...being I've never had tube doors, they seem so cool to run around town, soccer games/practices, etc....oh...how heavy are they and are they easy to switch with standard doors?
I've never had a Wrangler before (will be putting in order for Bronco when we are able), but I assume that security is generally not an issue with these types of vehicles? Plus, I can always get that security box in the center console?
I'd like to get them to just use over the summer for open air effect. I'd have to check the laws in my state as I'm not sure if I can drive with no doors...regardless, my wife would never allow that with the kids...
Well, that stinks...I really want this vehicle to second as a convertible. I used to have a 1992 BMW M30 body convertible....love the open air. I figured this could be an amazing 4wheeler with convertible ability, like a Wrangler. However, if it's a major pain to play with the top, I'd sooner...
With that being said, is the hard top easy to remove (both panels), and put back on...if we get the sound dampening, does that affect ability to take on and off? I want to have the ability to enjoy a convertible feeling and if this can be easily achieved without dumping 2400.00 into a soft top...
All great points. Thank you. My 4Runner is louder than heck at 70mph so I know what noisy is like. If I travel 3 hours in this thing on the road, I'd certainly want it to be comfortable and ride well...just as if I took it off-road (more than the curbs and soccer tourneys), I'd want it to be...
Thank you...people really seem to like the vinyl...I'm sure the leather is nice, as well. The both have heated seats but the leather has the electronic seat adjustment in more positions and the carpet....wish we could get the leather without the carpeting....
You have a nice knowledge base on the Bronco...we live in the same area...if I want to keep things simple, your thoughts on just getting the MIC with sound deadening AND the soft top for summers? Are they easy to switch or is it a pain in the butt?
that's another issue...I'm conditioned now to electronic seat adjustment...are the manual ones 'good enough' to optimize for longer rides or are the electronic much better? Any lumbar support adjustments with either?
Very impressive. It looks like you're having a ton of fun with this. I have that ole time vs. money issue...with 3 kids in travel soccer and working all the time, sometimes it's easier to just spend the extra money instead of trying to do things myself (I'm likely not as good as you at these...
Apple Ford is right down the road from me but I purchased my wife's Mach-E from Bob Davidson (story behind this). Regardless, did you do most of these mods yourself, or go to a fabrication shop (like Wit's End Fabrication) to get them done? Can you post a pic of your truck? It must be awesome...
Thank you...it'd be great if it was the same under the carpet as what's under the rubber mats...guess we'll find out soon. It's a shame we cannot have an option for leather with the electronic adjustable seats and forego the carpeting...
Thank you for the great info and your honesty. What does SAS do that effects passenger protection. Also, the mileage is better on the 33s...does this also lead to less noise when on the highway? I've heard different opinions on road comfort with the 33s vs. SAS...some say the 33s better...
