  1. I have a new 4 door base coming in October, need advice for best lift/wheels/tires, I want 37s.

37” with a 5” lift you will definitely struggle to maintain 80mph depending on the wind or incline. That’s the set up I run but with 4.7 gears and don’t drive that fast. The base will have even a harder time with its 3.73 gears.
  2. V8 Swap

There is a thread going on a company doing a V8 coyote swap a few weeks ago. My issue is you gain very little over the v6, like 40hp and 25 torque. Besides the cool factor and sound , not worth it.
  3. Joe's BadSquatch Build

Looks good. Glad I had a chance to see it in action on the trail.
  4. Recap Video: Broncos Off-Roading in Mexico

Awesome trip, already looking forward to being a part of the trip in April.
  5. RUBICON Trail IS CLOSED DUE TO FIRE

Just a FYI for anyone traveling from out of town. Rubicon is closed as of this morning 9/9/22 due to the mosquito fire. Check with Forest service or Eldorado County for updates.
  6. Thoughts on Body Lifts with the broncos IFS

If you use the complete Bronc Buster kit be aware you will need to raise your intercooler if you want it to keep it in the bumper opening and not hang below the bumper. Also front skid plate needs to be modified to avoid the gap below the bumper.
  7. Thoughts on Body Lifts with the broncos IFS

Thanks, glad you liked it. I was uneasy adding 3” of body lift, but after three months very happy with the results. I was able to readjust my coil overs to provide only 3/4” lift giving me near stock angles on CV shafts and tie rods while clearing 37x13.5 tires. A unexpected benefit is my...
  8. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

Chase how many miles have you racked up on that bronco?Every time I check out one of your videos your thousands of miles from your last location.
  9. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

Thanks for the explanation. Glad you made it out safe
  10. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

Video was great, looked like a cool group of guys to wheel with. I was asking one of the members who commented they broke while stock. 4” lift definitely is a common cause of breaking.
  11. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

How did you break it. I am interested in knowing since your the first person I’ve heard to actually break stock.
  12. Broncos on the Rubicon Trail in NorCal

Looked like a Awesome trip. Glad to see a few more new Broncos on the trail. Both trips in my Badlands I did this year where on 35 inch tires with 1 inch lift zero issues but it definitely works out the skid plates. Is not for everyone but after a few hundred trips is just a Sunday drive.
  13. Hardtop vs Soft Top

I personally like the soft top. Very convenient to put up and down depending on weather. When we got heavy snow I just made sure to knock it off every day. Never heard of any damage from snow but I didn’t like having more than a foot or two on it
  14. Flowmaster Outlaw anyone?

Glad you where able to figure it out. Slipping it in is the way to go.
  15. Could a higher end Bronco to compete with the AMG or Rovers happen in the future?

I don’t think they will. If Ford wanted to compete with Range Rovers, they would have just kept the Ranger Rover brand and would not have sold it for a loss.
  16. California bans sale of gas engines by 2035 [*** ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS. TECHNICAL DISCUSSION ONLY ***]

Great comments, love hearing everyone opinion. From my standpoint working at one of California newest hydroelectric plants (1969). The power grid will never support going full electric or even a 25% increase. No mater how much battery technology increases. It will take at least 50 years plus to...
  17. Who received a Bronco in perfect condition and what was your build date?

Zero issues with mine. Build date in October 21. I believe there is a lot less problems then we think. Haven’t broke the steering while running 37 on rocks. The age of social media any problems are magnified 1000%.
  18. 3” lift making noises - need help

The above comment may be correct about the CV nut being lose. You needed to loosen the nut to add the 4wp coil overs. If during the installation the nut was not loosen a few turns it could of damaged the CV when pressure was put on the knuckle to get the coil overs to fit.
  19. Bronco Mark ups….anyone experienced this?

It’s sad to say 10k-20k markups are now common. Hopefully things start returning to normal soon. Good luck.
  20. Offset needed for a little “poke” on SAS?

It is a 17x9 wheel. I believe it’s the only size RTR sells for the Bronco
