GAP insurance can provide peace of mind when you don't have equity. And I don't mean real equity - I mean equity above what your insurance provider is going to depreciate your vehicle in a replacement event.
If you're buying a 50k Bronco and financing all 50k, no way your insurer is going to...
Ford would love for a bunch of reservations for MY21s to come in today - if they were soft tops, preferably without other constraints.
If you wanted a 4-door with standard package without SAS/tow and a soft top, you could likely order today and get one this fall.
Wowza. $75,000 for a zero-optioned base? Even after sales tax and title work to take delivery then transfer, that's gonna be a $40,000 take.
I'd sell mine the day I get it for a $40k premium. I can be patient for that.
The problem with that approach is that car makers LOVE tire kickers. They have to have tire kickers. And capturing a tire kicker and getting them emotionally invested in a brand is what allows brands to stick around.
I'm not sure whether it's the screens or the sunglass makers, but some have started to use lenses/screens where the polarization runs at a 45 degree angle to vertical.
I'd be interested if there's starting to be a standard (all run polarization verticle or horizontal to prevent the effect).
First, congrats!
Second, Ford is doing some work to get these delivered. Under 3 weeks for rail is fast. Given other deliveries as well, I'm impressed.
None of that changes the reasons Ford did it. They have 125,000 orders for Broncos. They would have less had they charged $1000 up front. The system worked for them.
But that's bad business on Ford’s part. The $100 is genius, imo. It gets lots of people signed up and "invested" long before options are even known. Most of the 190k who reserved followed along and paid a lot more attention than they would have otherwise and many became emotionally invested to a...
That 1500/week will definitely go up come August. If they only average 2500/week they'll make 40,000 Aug-end of year. Add in the builds leading up to August and you get the 45-50k most reports indicate.
The hard top constraint will no doubt be the big issue. If they can't see that increase...
Most people who have called and had a schedule change haven't received an email. That's not at all unusual, it seems.
I got moved from 7/19 to 8/2 with no email.
What's silly is anyone getting in any way bent about an email that's 13 minutes later than some communication to another group of people said it would be...
It turns out company execs are, in fact, just people. Most of them have some skills and some smarts, but very few are truly geniuses or anything. Mostly just people trying to make good decisions based on the information they have. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
I don't expect it to happen, but I'd love for HE to be an appearance package, rather than a trim level like the FE. Something that can be applied across multiple/all trims and different packages.
I'm hoping the HE will allow for less options - ie, not having to go Lux to get it. It'd be something if the Heritage only comes with all the tech. Lots of HE buyers would like to ditch the screen altogether, I'm sure! Ha!
Well, December builds IF modular tops are available by December. I'm sure hoping they are, because it'll mean they've addressed a lot of Webasto issues, but you would agree it's possible Mod tops may not be available on day 1 of MY22 production, yes?
