A well designed body mount will hold up to quite a bit….if I was out doing buggy type trails and driving full send I absolutely agree with you. Did I cheat by just adding a couple gussets to the ford brackets…yes absolutely. When I get them out I should know pretty quick if I’m gonna come up...
Thanks. Yeah I’m definitely not the poster child for proper fabrication attire. I often wear, sandals, shorts and a tank top in the summer. I’ve learned to keep my feet out the way but sometimes pay the price. Hahaa
I left a tad bit of room expecting some flex.(but wanted as tight as possible too) I did add some gussets to the brackets to help resist flexing….we shall see how it works out. In the driveway jumping on them and putting the jack under them they seem solid but we both know rocks seem to put...
Just the method 105 beadlocks with -38mm backspacing, 37x12.50 km3s on stock Sasquatch suspension….nothing super involved. I did have to remove the modular bump ends and the big plastic piece on the rear of the fender when I started wheeling it…I also have fiberglass fenders ordered up which...
Hahaa. I’m a good electrician trying to learn to be a good fabber! ……I should have, but not gonna lie it’s a lot of work compared to just bolting something on. I do enjoy it tho.
The ford sliders didn’t really offer much protection at all….I did order and try another brand but they weren’t much better and I wasn’t a fan. Most of the ones I like have ridiculous lead times so I broke out the bender and came up with my own. I had everything on hand in my shop except the...
I’ve been waiting a couple of weeks as well and was told the machine was down for a bit, and mine were manufactured…..just needed powder coating and should go out Tuesday after Labor Day….
They will fit….they will rub at full turn. I actually wheel my 37s with just Sasquatch. I just had to remove the ends of the modular bumper ends and the big plastic piece behind the inner liners on the back. I run -38mm methods tho.
I’ve never had a issue….when my buggy was still tagged I used to drive it on the roads in Colorado with zero tire coverage….both of my broncos now have tires that stick way out past the fenders.
