I asked my dealer to replace my trail sight bolts due to the rust issue, and it turns out they are forced to replace the entire trail sight assembly, so I’ll end up with a spare set. I thought about painting one of the sets to swap out and see what it looks like. I’ll try to remember to post...
I have E rated Falken Wildpeak AT3s on my rig. The tire shop filled them to 43 psi which was super rough. I’ve since taken them down to 35psi for street driving and it’s a pretty damn smooth ride. There are some C rated stock-sized tires out there. You need to decide if you’re gonna spend...
I like them a lot! I’m tall enough to not need them, so they’ve taken a bit of getting used to on exiting the vehicle, but my kiddos and wife love them. I haven’t tested them off-road yet.
Sure! Wheels are +18 offset for reference. A little more poke than I had originally planned as the same wheels come in +30 which I ordered but their center hub was too small on those.
I ordered an Oxford white but when I got the new fenders and had to get them painted, they’re like 50% of the surface area of the vehicle so I just decided to get the whole thing done. The new color is Ford’s Brittany Blue from 1969, though I left the roll cage white.
Lol, yeah, I have plans to replace both bumpers when I find some I really like. I made this joke to the wife and she gave me that all too known side-eye glance telling me I’ve already spent enough money! =]
Yeah, the front is actually fine. The mod bumper really held up. I have a d-shackle and a recovery point mounted plate holder that took some bends and scrapes, but the bumper and grille are fine, shockingly. The rear is effed. Bumper bent to hell, the tailgate is caved in and the tailgate...
Wasn’t too fast actually. The light had just turned green, we all were moving forward then car 1 in line stopped for some reason and car 2 hit car 1. Car 3 and I stopped in time, but then the person in car 5 slammed it home. No excuse that I heard. I had my two boys with me who were all...
I got the JTops Bimini. Awesome product. Sits super tight, so no flapping unless you get her over 90mph….. (who would do such a thing). I also enjoy the RSE steps. They kicked my ass when I was installing them by myself, but the give it a great look and supper functional for my kiddos.
I’ve only had this thing for a few weeks and sure enough got rear ended last night. Person behind me slammed me into the car in front, and him into the car in front of him. Total of 5 cars involved. Luckily it’s still drivable, so I can limp it around while I wait for parts / body shop time...
Hahaha! Every time I hear a jab like this it reminds me of Jay Leno’s skit about video game realism and a shout out to all the branches:
Not in the military myself, but best friend was a rescue pilot in the CG. Flew 60s and 65s, but now is stationed at headquarters pushing papers. Have a...
