My body guys did fine with the fender fitment, however the trim pieces required a lot of carving out from the backside In order to fit properly. They just wouldn’t fit the curve of the door properly, so both my trim pieces are not aligned properly and stick out about 1/4”. I haven’t had the...
No, I’ve thought about it, but feel like the extra weight isn’t worth it. They don’t protect the swinging step itself anyway. So far I’ve only got some rash, no major dents or deformations.
My opinion is that if the mechanism is going to break, it’ll break within 12 months if you use it like you’re describing. I haven’t personally heard of anyone from the jeep realm and google doesn’t really bring up a lot of results for failures either.
I’d try Forscan. I turned off all the belt minder chimes with it, and now the only notification I get is a warning on the dash if my kids unbuckle. For that I have to restart the rig to reset.
I loved the chrome one I originally ordered (think they call it tumbled matte clear) but it just reflected too much on the windshield and blocked the view right across the middle. I switched it out for their Cold Smoke version, which is the same color as the dash and I’m very happy with it!
Ok, so I agree that you shouldn’t have to do these thing to make a 3rd party product fit, but I live by “improvise, adapt, overcome.” Here are some tips for a successful install:
1 - The thin black defrost wire connections pull right off the OEM posts. The block harness BLIS connection...

2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1"...
Mine took a while. I got the rail car number and tracked it daily. My rail car did two loops around the middle of the US, stopping in Chicago twice before getting to denver. Then my bronco sat in that lot for two weeks until a truck came to get it to the dealer.
Why not make the carrier bag out of a lighter color material? Light grey or beige. Problem solved.
i got my bag off Amazon. It’s designed for jeeps so doesn’t fit great and it’s black so it gets hot. I’ve noticed this distortion on my windows as well, especially if they aren’t on a...
I swapped to 35” Falken AT3s with E rating. Still playing with the pressures to find the optimal ride on the streets and tread wear pattern, but currently down to 35psi and I think it’s a great ride for an off-road vehicle. I chose E rating because my off-roading takes me over sharp rocks and...
I wipe my surfaces down with a damp lint free cloth. Haven’t noticed any scratches as of yet, but I do plan to get a handheld Dustbuster thingy with brush attachments.
