I am a retired engineer/MBA just trying to sift the facts from fiction - most of these guys are livid that Ford is not sticking perfectly enough with producing by reservation date; which they are not given all the constraints and competing interests given their own profit, the dealer community...
Take a look at the installation details it may be easier than you might imagine - 6 bolts - use some connectors for the battery cables - granted it is heavy and might take you 20 minutes to take it off the way I am thinking.
I understand - thanks - do you think production is enough to fill all dealers monthly allocations (able to be filled reservation + dealer stock)? All that dealer stock will put some pressure on large ADM’s? Plus if I see my build in dealer stock, or close I may jump for it. I am a 2 door...
I added "dealer stocks" to the graph - this should plateau off at some point - note Ford may have contractual obligations that require them to provide a certain amount of dealer stock. Note: the Estimated Dirt Mountain does not include Gross Stocks.
I've been tracking these numbers over time:
I constructed this to get an approximation of the number of ponies on Dirt Mountain and to track production, sales and inventory.
Some points:
* Gross stocks (vehicles on dealer lots? - the numbers are not shown here) have risen from 0 in June...
No mistake - just different assumptions. My analysis assumes perfect adherence to the reservation system (which we all know is not happening), it assumes no change to the allocation scheme (which could change) and it assumes production remains steady at 8,000 per month (hopefully this grows)...

It looks like it may come off pretty easily - even more so if you can use battery cable connectors - you could then put tow-bat compatible hooks back on?

These are actual Ford investor numbers. We have to assume that Ford will do better than this history indicates … their best month was August with about 8,300 per month, assuming this is the best that can do that’s almost 100,000 per year. I’d like to think that constraints and top problems...
I'll update this graph this week after Ford's numbers come out - be advised the exact amount of the cumulative unsold may be incorrect as I am not sure if it includes demos.
