Updated Original Post to add shock measurements, for those who were interested:
Coilover Shock Measurements eye-to-eye:
Front: 24.53" extended; 17.60" compressed
Rear: 28.90" extended, 18.36" compressed
Circling back on this since I finally got numbers from engineering. As @rsmtracker pointed out it's hard to get shock measurements out of ICON's engineering department, I've found that out and I'm right here in the building LOL. Anyhow I finally got them to cough up the numbers and here they are...
Hey guys, above is our boilerplate info for these awesome new EXP shocks, but I wanted to go informal and give you my personal thoughts on these, as I think they're going to be a great option for many of us.
Some of you have noted my hints dropped here and there about our upcoming EXP shocks...
EXP Series shock absorbers by ICON Vehicle Dynamics combine the performance of a fully rebuildable 2.5-inch diameter premium shock with the convenience and cost-benefits of re-using the Bronco’s factory coil spring and other components.
EXP bridges the gap between spacer lifts and threaded...
I'm kinda in that same mindset for my own vehicles. I've always been a follower of K.I.S.S. Hence why I ordered a stripper Base model :) But I've ridden in several vehicles with the CDEV system and wow it sure is nice. Especially when you transition from the hardball to the dirt at 60+ and...
I agree that would be awesome, and believe me I've already been pushing for that. Unfortunately it's not currently set up for CarPlay. There's a whole 'nother UI and certification process to access CarPlay, so our guys are still looking into it.
@Quick, as stated in the initial post the coilovers come from ICON set to 2"(rear)/3"(front) lift over stock, compared to base (non Badlands, Non-Sasquatch equipped) Broncos. On Sasquatch Broncos that will end up being about 1" less (1"/2") but as we said their will be some variations depending...
in for a penny, in for a pound :) I'll send a note to Engineering with the request. No clue whether the small Bronco Raptor production numbers will be enough to justify tooling up for it though. I'm still lobbying for 5 on 5.5 Rebound Pros for my Early Bronco LOL.
I haven't heard any plans to do that exact spec. We currently have Rebound Pro in 6 on 135mm, at 5" backspacing and 6mm offset. No clue how that will sit on the Raptor yet.
What I've said about "initial production run" and how that will avoid the normal 20+ week lead times on coilovers applies specifically to the Bronco coilovers being discussed in this thread, meaning all flavors of them, whether in kits or in pairs (they're not sold by each). Other items such as...
That's great to hear! Thank you for placing your trust in ICON :) I believe that gets you in on the initial production run which is already in progress, rather than subject to the very long lead times us and the rest of the industry are currently subject to
Hi there Jaime. Below is a screenshot of the warranty that is printed in all of our shock instructions. This one I lifted from the similar Jeep application but it will be the same on the Bronco kits when those ship.
I won't make excuses for any unhappy customers you may have seen on the...
EDIT: NO LONGER NEEDED. THANKS!
Hey guys we'd like to take a look underneath one of the new '22s that came with the rear sway bar. If you are in Southern California, preferably close to Riverside, and can leave it with us for a couple of days, we can make it worth your while by giving it back...
By set I mean that the parts aren't sold individually. They're in pairs. You can't buy just one lower rear link, you have to buy both the right and left. Same with upper rear links, UCA's, etc.
There are some small advantages with the billet units such as on-vehicle adjustability. You can...
We reconfigured the stage numbers just prior to release, lopping off the old Stage 3 because it was just front and rear coilovers without UCA's. But we've determined that you really do need the UCA's so we're not offering any of these preconfigured kits without them. That's why they don't go...
