I did step 1 yesterday and Ford told me they couldn't do anything. They told me I HAD to work with the dealer because I didn't have the cancel option available on my Ford.com account. The rest of what they told me matches steps 2-5 from your list. They basically said I need to do step 4 first...
Ok - I need some help. It looks like my reservation was converted to an order without the dealer ever talking to me. Looking at my emails, I see 2 emails from them - one general one the day I placed my reservation and picked them as my dealer and then an email in October with some canned...
Update - multiple emails, texts and calls by me to Mason Spain and Alice at Metro Ford last night and this morning. No answer, no response, no call back. I'm increasingly worried they're not going to cancel and they'll just sit on my order until it's too late to do anything.
Plan to call...
Yeah, I'm aware it's happened to others.
Finally got someone from the dealer on the phone - he claims he can't cancel my order and hard pushed me to keep it and have it shipped to where I'm moving. I told him no, he said he has to talk to some New Car Sales Manager and get back to me.
Anyone else here with that dealer? They converted my reservation to an order without ever contacting me. Zero calls, zero emails. Now I'm moving and need to switch dealers. Ford can't cancel anything from their end, I can't cancel anything online and no one at Metro Ford answers their...
Is it too late to get in on this? I'm moving to Denver in the next couple months so I need to change dealers but I'm incredibly confused because my order says In Store Order yet I have no communication or build sheet or anything from the dealer I had selected locally.
Right? I'm a day 1 res holder that's holding out for some sort of Green or Khaki color and either a white or color matched top. I'll be pissed if I wait until 22MY and don't get either of those options. I'd be skipping out on being one of the first people around here with a Bronco!
All...
As I had it built out I want the Badlands Sasquatch with the 2.7 and auto trans and the lux package. I'm not sure the top or color options I want are live yet - hence wanting a 22MY.
Anyone want a day 1 reservation? I've got a 7/14 reservation and I'd love to trade out for one that would guarantee me a 22MY. So if anyone wants their Bronco this year my reservation is a solid bet. I think I'm in the top 15% of day 1 reservations even, based on the giant spreadsheet on this...
I was thinking about getting in with one of the Dallas area group buys, I think I can still do that. I didn't know they can hold my order - do you have more details on that? I do think I'd like to keep the reservation as long as I'm in control of what happens! Thanks for the info.
I didn't want to start a new thread so I'm posting here and hoping someone can help me and catch me up.
I have a 7/14 reservation. The dealer I picked hasn't reached out to me at all to start the ordering process - which is fine, I'm leaning towards canceling. I know lots of dates have been...
Not that I don't believe you but from everyone I've talked to my understanding is that once I finalize my order by the end of January I'm committed to paying for that vehicle and I can't back out. Even Tom McParland over at Jalopnik said as much when I asked him what my options were if I took...
I was lucky enough to see and touch it at Super Celebration West. It solidified my want for the Bronco over any other option but without being able to drive it I won't commit to a '21 MY order. Seeing it again and even sitting in it won't be enough for me to shell out $55k - especially if they...
