  1. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

Badass Tents is mostly aluminum. Cross bars are aluminum and rails are two layer - aluminum and steel. Also, those t-slot aluminum crossbars are easily available anywhere at any length so it’s not like you are locked into a proprietary system like Thule or Yakima.
  2. Badlands Grill and Camera housing painted shadow black

So the logical next question is... what would it have cost to buy a Wildtrak grill through Ford Parts?
  3. Headrest is too far forward

I also discovered that the sun visors are telescopic which really helps when sun is at your side!!
  4. RokBlokz Mudflaps Review

Wow thanks. I will not be choosing this product. For me so far, the side steps have been fending off most of crap that would otherwise hit my rocker panels and doors.
  5. Headrest is too far forward

They are adjustable on my leather seats. Pull it all the way forward and then it resets and goes all the way back (like a window shade).
  6. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

Interested to hear your thoughts on the quality/effectiveness of the wind screen. Looks pretty good. I swapped all my screws/bolts for black powder coated stainless (instead of shiny).
  7. Bronco Arrived...Dealer wants $15K over MSRP

C8 corvette had the same situation happening a year earlier. They were widely publicizing that Broncos would be selling for over MSRP well Before reservations opened. There was every indication that this would be happening. This happened with gen 1 Miata’s in 1989. As soon as people started...
  8. Bronco Arrived...Dealer wants $15K over MSRP

My point is that these stories are all over the news and buyers have had many many months to speak to their dealer BEFORE the car is shipped from Ford. Even if someone doesn’t have a signed agreement they can still go get one, or switch dealers. Waiting until the car shows up the dealer leaves...
  9. Bronco Arrived...Dealer wants $15K over MSRP

Sorry but I just don’t understand how ANYONE could think it makes sense to wait until the car arrives at the dealership until they talk about the price. With all the headlines about markups, high demand, parts shortages, why why why would someone wait until the dealer has the car - which is the...
  10. “Update” from Mike Levine for those stuck on Ice Mountain

Levine spends his time talking about Ford successes, not failures. As soon as your Bronco comes off the assembly line, it is now out of the way. Ford can call it "produced" and it's already allocated to a dealer and they know you're going to pay for it eventually. Meanwhile they can keep the...
  11. Dealership sold my bronco Order

Wow. That sucks you had a bad dealer. But I have to agree that leaving a bad review is only something you do AFTER you get what you want. I did nearly everything I did to become my dealer's best friend. And I visited in person many times during my 528 day wait. I asked my dealer how they handled...
  12. Professional rust proofing my Bronco - BEFORE/AFTER with pics and videos

Yes I’m sure they would tape them off if you request it. Those can rust also but the yellow does look cool.
  13. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

Not a bad idea - there are only 3 different lengths of screws on the whole thing - otherwise they are all identical - so swapping them out would be simple. I was thinking the same thing, but I decided I like contrast of the screws. Similarly, I was convinced I would want to get rid of the shiny...
  14. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

The difference in clearance is probably very very small. With this new rack it is just barely enough room to remove the rear panel.
  15. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

With the OEM Ford rack you can only remove the first row roof panels. Not the second row.
  16. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

I’m pretty sure that you can easily buy any length of 80/20 aluminum crossbar very easily.
  17. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

The crossbars are 1”x2” and 40-43” long. Here is a close up of the assembly diagram.
  18. Full Review w/Pics and Video: Badass Tents Roof Rack

I’ve not had it over 55 since installed but I’d say that I can hear a difference from having no rack. I’ve had a rack of some sort on my daily driver SUVs since the 80’s so I know that they ALL create noise. Personally wind noise was not something I was prioritizing when I decided to buy a...
