They are adjustable on my leather seats. Pull it all the way forward and then it resets and goes all the way back (like a window shade).

The difference in clearance is probably very very small. With this new rack it is just barely enough room to remove the rear panel.

With the OEM Ford rack you can only remove the first row roof panels. Not the second row.
