Ford knew where my Bronco was as recently as last Friday. Sometime between then and now the location got mixed up in their system.
The railroad has a vested interest in knowing where their rail car is. You can check the rail automated phone info line. The numbers are in one of the...
I was tipped off when I emailed my dealer contact this morning to see if I might be able to pick it up today. She let me know it was in Portland. I then contacted Ford customer service, who also said it is in Portland. It ain't in Portland.
Short version...the CSX automated phone line says the rail car carrying my Bronco unloaded at Alliance (TX) on 3/7 (Monday). As of today, Ford's records say my Bronco was unloaded on 3/7 in Portland (OR).
I believe the railroad. Besides, there is no reason my Bronco would go to Portland on...
Thanks again. That's weird, because the CTX automated phone system says that railcar was unloaded and released on Monday (3/7) at Alliance, TX. I wonder if my Bronco is hanging out there because the Ford system thinks it is in Portland?
Hi Drew,
I've been diligently following the railcar info you gave me last week (SP 516643). The CTX hotline told me it arrived at the local railyard and was unloaded on 3/7.
Today, my dealer says their system shows the Bronco is in Portland, Oregon and will arrive in 5-7 days. I assumed...
According to CTX, my railcar arrived at the local rail yard (Alliance, TX) and was unloaded as of 8:30 am on 3/7 (Monday).
When I checked with my dealer to see if I could possibly come get it today, I was told their system shows its on a train in Portland Oregon and is expected to arrive in...

my ETA was “unavailable” on the rail phone system, even after it reached its final rail destination
Just checked on the rail car, after spending a couple of days at the Gibson Auto Rail Yard outside Chicago it moved from there to Blue Island, then quickly left!
They are shipping. Ford told me today it is on a rail car in Illinois. ETA for the train arrival is 3/16-3/22. Seems like a pretty slow train, but whatcha gonna do?
my EDD is 3/22, but I think it will be within 7-10 days of my build date. That’s based on the recent experience of a couple other people who bought from the same dealership.
