Yes. There are options that bolt in with no mods, including cPE intercooler and CVF charge pipes, which is what I went with (also did Injen CAI at the same time). It really wakes the Bronco up. Pair that with a good custom tune or at least the ProCal and it's a whole different truck.
I think there is a difference of opinion but there is an objective weight load limit for the tailgate from Ford. I can't recall the exact number but if you search you can find it on here - I believe it's around 120lbs but I could be off.
I am also curious about seeing painted options. Mine is Oxford White and I don't love the black reinforcement kits. But as @GI_Jo_Nathan said I don't think it's necessary. I went from stock 33's on my black diamond to 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Bosses that are very heavy, including the spare. Have...
How are the washers holding up? I went to change transfer case fluid and didn't realize it was a 10mm hex, which I didn't have. In looking to try to find out what size the plug was I came across this thread about the washers. Wondering if I need to buy the $36 washers...
There is a guy on here in Georgia that I believe bought a top that had been painted by body shop @JimmyZ. Looks great in the pictures, have not seen it in person.

Hey I see you're in Milton - I'm in Marietta and also looking to off-road. Have been looking at options for beginners and it looks like there's a bunch of options in North Georgia. I did the Tennessee Off Rodeo in February 2025. I put Eibach pro trucks and 35's on earlier this year and got all...
You may already know, but I've been reading about FDU failures and apparently because there's so little fluid (less than a quart as I understand it) in there that any leaking can be a big problem.
The lift on the Protrucks for a Non-SAS is pretty significant. On the out of the box setting I got about 3" of lift over stock. Cranked them down a bit and I'm about 2.5" over factory. The Bronco looked ridiculous lifted 3" on my factory 33" general grabbers so wound up going to a 35" MT Baja...
I did not measure it but I find there is a wider field of view with the new mirror. Also it's "frameless" (i.e. there is no plastic lip around the edge - glass goes all the way to the end). It's possible that the mirror is overall larger or it's possible that perhaps the new mirror just slightly...
I did the mirror replacement with the Toyota one and have been very happy with it - link and more info below. The mirror itself is a bit bigger than the OEM one which is nice but no one would ever know it's not factory.
