I'm not a lawyer, so I have no idea on the mechanics of it. I do know Ford famously settled on a Ford GT case with John Cena.
I don't expect it to occur, as it's usually more hassle than it's worth for the flipper.
We will be using that form. It's intended to keep the flippers at bay, making it more hassle than it's worth. ADMs accomplish much the same thing, but dealers like us aren't charging ADM on Golden Ticket holders. We've had people tell us straight up they intend to flip standard Broncos, we had...
That's a function of the allocation. Fwiw, we still have some 7/14s outstanding, so I think the commodities are impacting those high level early (1st week) reservations.
I posted about my store's situation not long ago:
FWIW, 48% of our total reservations have been built, scheduled, are in transit, or are sold.
Many of the soft tops built were in store orders not tied to a reservation (about 7% of my currently sold orders) And another 7% either in transit or...
I can't speak for all stores, just mine, we received no allocation for May as a result of all the orders that were pushed from March and April to May. June should be much better, hopefully.
That's not how it works allocation is throughout the year, and is doled out month by month in the wholesale. Our store has plenty of allocation.
There are still significantly more orders than available production, which is be exasperated by the supply chain challenges.
We
We did get March and April wholesales, just May got skipped because of the supply chain, lots of builds pushed back. As the previous poster stated, it only takes one part to get a build skipped.
For us, there was no May wholesale, and I suspect that's true of a lot of dealers because of the recent microchip shortage. We've always had a good % of soft top, so we always fill all our allocation in a given month. We should get our next wholesale in the next week/two.
Everyone is in a...
Yeah,
We're going to have to figure it all out. There are two price protections at play: The Rebate, and the credit we receive from Ford. We'll get it sorted out either way.
I've had good luck with tire rack, don't know if they carry Method though. Got a deal on Pilot Super Sports when they were being replaced by the 4S. BBS Wheels and tires mounted/balanced and shipped for $1500
Typical gross profit during normal times depends an a lot of factors, brand, location, size, inventory level, incentives, holdback, finance gross, reserve, etc... A quick google search results in around 1900 for new and 2300 for used.
The car business is tough, and turn in the industry is very...
UPDATE 3/8/2022
We received word back that Raptor Golden Tickets are not transferrable between dealerships and that the allocation will stay with the original dealer if that reservation is transferred. The allocation will stay with the original dealer regardless of what the customer decides to...
That is our understanding. They have to go into EMP and convert the reservation, then you accept it in your Ford.com account to place it into their WBDO.
We were able to get one unconverted transferred, but we haven't gotten any clarity on if that allocation will also transfer.
My suspicion is that they are two separate systems and have to be manually linked, so the allocation is already with the dealer it's been assigned to.
