I'm going on 3 flawless years with my '22 factory MIC top but man... its not like we're reinventing the wheel here. Not sure what the overarching problem is with producing a reliable hard top in 2025 but you'd think we're trying to engineer some new space-age gizmo the industry has never seen...
I don't have any experience with the FP coilovers so not sure of the rear spring rate. That said - assuming its still pretty light (similar to stock) then it wouldn't take much to level that out when driving around. Couple of back seat average adults and some cargo stuff and you're at an inch(+)...
No, they're different. Shaped to perfectly fill the gap and thicker. Driver and passenger sides are different too IIRC, it's been a while.
This is for the RC pair.. no clue what the ridiculous BB one looks like but im assuming based on his animosity that its identical
Advice would be to leave it that way such that its then level if you put basically anything in the back (like people, stuff, etc). Otherwise you don't look as good as you think you do in the driveway unloaded when you're driving around dragging tail
1/2 to 3/4" in the rear (especially if a 4 door) is going to have the same effect on the front as a bag of groceries. The math just doesn't math to a discernable difference
Yeah you won't need an alignment only messing with the rear.
Keep in mind a spacer lift on the rear is pretty much linear with how thick the spacer is (unlike the front). Not sure how much you're sagging in the rear but a half inch spacer will only raise the rear about a half inch
I do.. at least for my '22 (assuming they're still the same). I ordered mine from Ford parts center back at that time but looks like Tasca has them readily available now too
LCA bolt - W720555-S439
LCA Nut - W720216-S442
Hence why i generally suggest the traditional "From the top" method if I'm not sure the skill level of he or she who's doing it. More nuts and bolts for sure but as long as you don't drop your knuckle and pull the CV apart there's very little that can go wrong. Same reason i always suggest...
For sure! That's the way I did it the first time. Word of caution - three of my LCA cam bolts were galled from the factory and needed replacing after getting them out (which also wasn't easy). So if I were going that route for the first time I'd absolutely have spare bolts on hand.
For some it...
Some will chime in saying almost every nut on the vehicle is listed as single use but I have it on good authority from 2.5 years of reusing all the suspension nuts/bolts over a dozen times on ours that it's just for the lawyers. But do what helps you sleep at night for sure
As mentioned above there aren't any special tools required but something you might not have that's really handy is a 4-6lb deadblow hammer to knock the axle shaft loose from the hub assembly such to avoid pulling your CV apart on accident. An air hammer works too but you can swing away like...
50/50 shitty dealership tossup based on the small population segment on B6G. Caught somewhere between "rust isn't a warranty item" and "failing/defective part" it seems. No skin in that game here though
The Ford techs/sales/service guys on this site have helped 100x the amount of us average joes that the (relatively) useless Ford bot ever did. I've needed some guidance on quite a few occasions over the last few years and never once went more than about an hour without a solid and accurate...
