They know who they are because most of them have some type of relationship with Ford at a very high level. They're not just customers who Ford picked and said, you're a VIP. In my case, one is a well known actor, who actually does business with us normally anyways, so he got that designation...
Technically we can look at other vehicles that didn't get scheduled due to constraints and take things off if we want them to have a chance to get pulled. This is for vehicles that aren't getting pulled by any type of timestamp either. In the Bronco's case, I'm not changing anything. If one...
I don't know. I feel like it'll likely change again overnight, so at this point since it changed so drastically from yesterday, I don't want to waste any brain cells trying to decipher it. I'll just look at it again tomorrow and then know who made the cut.
So we can see what is scheduling. But as I've stated many, many times here....the preview changes from Tuesday to Thursday.
If it makes anyone feel any better, my preview today for Bronco is completely different than it was yesterday. 4 out of my 6 changed. The VIP stayed in, one normal...
I don't expect Ford to send out 60k emails to everyone by the end of May for an estimated delivery. I simply think they can hang their hat on the fact that they've started communicating that information to customers, beginning in May, which is what they're doing each week by sending out the...
FYI, the factory soft top doesn't impress me much. Another aftermarket company(I don't want to say who yet) is making a soft top and their's is much, much nicer than the factory top. I would wait and buy a soft top from the aftermarket biz if that's what I was after.
FWIW, I would not email any customers about a Tuesday preview. The Thursday preview is the one that really matters. I've already stated multiple times that it's not uncommon for one to preview on Tuesday, and be completely gone by Thursday, replaced with something else by the time the computer...
Hopefully, this will cover all the questions....
6 total previewing, but I expect 9 by Thursday.
1 two door, 5 four door
4 MIC top, 2 soft top
3 SAS pkg, 3 non SAS
3 2.3 eng, 3 2.7 eng
5 tow pkg
3 Lux, 2 std, 1 mid package
On a positive note, all my Broncos that are previewing this morning are just normal builds. No FE and just one VIP in that mix. It also has a spread of 2.3 and 2.7 engines and half of the previews are also Sasquatch. That's a good sign.
Only FE and VIP orders are being scheduled this week. Those emails will go out Thursday.
21MY Bronco Scheduling – On Thursday, May 20th, only First Edition and VIP Bronco orders will be selected for scheduling.
21MY Bronco – Please confirm your unscheduled retail reservation orders in WBDO are...
And I'm sure this is going to come up for the next 18 months, but customer orders are also going to start showing on dealer's websites as soon as they ship from the plant. That's the flow of inventory and how it feeds from Ford Direct to most dealer's websites.
Not that I should even waste my time looking up what those Broncos are to appease the witch hunters here, but they're all mannequins. They're all order type 2, which is not a consumer order. Those are order type 1.
Find something else to accuse the dealers of now. :)
