  1. Recommendations for Compressor + Accessories?

I have been using an inexpensive Smittybilt compressor for years. Comes in a bag with coiled air hose and clamps to the battery. Works fine, no issues, and not expensive. Could decide later for something more...if ever.
  2. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

I have an RV space at the KOA from 5-1 to 5-10. They have RV spaces and cabins available. Looking forward to putting some faces to names, and fun times wheeling, exploring, and hanging out. (y) (y)
  3. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

Well, I'm in. Now I'll look for an RV space to reserve. I'll look to arrive on Monday and leave the next Wed, the 10th. I'm hooking up with some friends Sun-Tues, but anyone is welcome to run with us. We can see the event schedule when it comes out and decide what we want to run. Might be fun to...
  4. 2500 Mile Road/Off Road trip in Badlands 2dr around Kanab UT, Great Wheeling and Scenery, and Driving Impressions

Yeah, it almost got me to not get the Bronco. It seems to be better now, but there sure were a ton of whinny assed snowflakes on the forum. I have a saying for the younger folks......"keep up!" :) My last King of the Hammers podium I was 64.
  5. Favorite Bronco Lines

"It's meant for off road. Why do I have to upgrade the steering?"
  6. 2500 Mile Road/Off Road trip in Badlands 2dr around Kanab UT, Great Wheeling and Scenery, and Driving Impressions

I've been on Medicare for quite a few years..... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
  7. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

I want to do this. I want to drive and see the route but prefer not to camp. Too soft and lazy these days and want day trips then back to the RV. I know I could have done it in the Jeep since it handled rougher stuff comfortable, I think the Badlands is even better. Glad to hear from someone who...
  8. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

A few years ago a group of us did two weeks of off road routes, over 700 miles, on the way to a week in Moab. We started near Price and went south through the Swell camping as we went. Through the Henry Mtns, south through Fry Canyon, went to Goosenecks, Valley of the Gods, and came to Moab...
  9. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

A class III OHV vehicle is a street licensed off road vehicle, like a rock buggy, desert race truck, etc. Those vehicles are built for off road, hence referred to as OHV, and can be licensed and operated on the street in limited conditions, like not on freeways or roads with 50+ mph speed limit...
  10. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

Just read the UT state description. A street licensed street vehicle, Jeep, Bronco, 4runner, F150, etc is not a class III OHV vehicle. OHV vehicles are off road designed vehicles that MAY be licensed and driven on the street in very select conditions. For example, not on an interstate hwy, not...
  11. California WTB: Badlands non-SAS wheels and tires

I have 5 Badlands wheels, already sold the tires, if you're interested. I'm also a tire dealer so could help with a deal on tires, if you don't find anything else.
  12. Seat Covers over Molle Paneled Seats?

Sorry, I don't have a pic of the back. I have no current use for the back panels, so didn't even look. The seat covers themselves I'm very happy with, and a great fit. And, air bag compliant.
  13. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

Not sure how it applies to street vehicles like a Jeep or Bronco, however in UT buggies and UTV's can be street legal and yet are off-highway vehicles. If it was all street vehicles that might drive off road, that's pick-up trucks, sport utility vehicles, crossovers, etc, etc. I think this is...
  14. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

Yeah, same here. Been there, done that, a few days of event organized runs is too much for me. Rather be casual and independent most days. We'd have to do Moab Rim one day, or part of a day, which is my favorite trail. That trail requires two lockers, but it's 5 min out of town and very fun and...
  15. Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

Hmm.....I'll consider going to this. Was thinking about a Moab trip next year anyway. We were in Moab two years ago in May and saw a ton of Broncos there. I'd bring the RV and stay in an RV park. If any of you wanted to run with 6G folks one day or days I'd be happy to lead a few trails. Been to...
  16. ICON XD Forged Tie Rods

To keep a bit of perspective, no one runs much bigger tires on a Jeep with the stock steering. Steering upgrades are just assumed as lift and bigger tires are installed. Steering upgrades for off road reliabilty are simply par for the course...to be expected. Tie rods, drag links, and steering...
  17. FCC License Needed for GMRS & HAM

Radio nazis already. Nothing wrong with being legal. I bet you never go over the speed limit and are 100% accurate on your taxes. Just being a wise ass here, no offense meant. Off roaders and desert racers have been using business bands on VHF radios for many decades, as well as boaters on...
  18. ICON XD Forged Tie Rods

From reading all this, it appears the Hoss 3.0 tie rods are 16mm vs the stock 14mm, which is a 31% strength increase (close enough math). The new Icon tie rods are 18mm, which is a 65% increase in strength vs the stock tie rods, and a 26% increase over the Hoss 3.0 tie rods. Strength increase is...
  19. First Windshield Cracked

I have a crack in my windshield also. 4600 miles and came back with a crack on a 2500 road trip. Thankfully I have glass coverage on my insurance policy so I think it's 100 deductible. Interesting that so many Broncos have cracked windshields. Someone above mentioned windshield recall, is there...
