It definitely makes a huge difference, but it in no way compares to the 2.7. I have both and I love both but the 2.7 would pull a wheelie if you could get enough traction. The 2.3 would not.

I have load range E tires so I always keep mine down around 32 pounds and usually don’t have an issue until they get down to around 30 as the temperature gets colder.

Put 40 pounds in all four tires and drive it a while and see if it goes away. If it does, put the tires back down to where you like it and you should be good if there’s no issue.

Yes, they’re very responsive and they’re close to me so I’ve had them do a few other things to one of my Broncos.

So has anybody actually received the Ford performance tune for the 2025 2.3?

I have the tune on my 2.7 and it recommends a minimum of 91 octane. I usually run 93 but I don’t think the difference would be noticeable unless you put it on an dyno and even then I can’t imagine it would make more than a couple horsepower difference.

We have a Maverick in the new color at the Ford dealer and I agree that it looks a little more orange because the cyber always reminded me of school bus yellow.

There’s a specific order it tells you to unlatch them in the manual. I always do that in reverse order when reinstalling.

He wants the sound. The V6 sounds like dog crap compared to a V8 as well. I have the 2.7 and the 5.0 in trucks and even though the 2.7 will absolutely destroy the 5.0 from a performance standpoint, I still love the sound of the V8.
