Raptor is an excellent beach buggy....it makes a terrible second car because it is the one you always grab the keys when you go almost anywhere. I average over 15k miles a year for the last three years...and I work from home. Heck, I sold by Boxster because I wasnt driving it anymore.
This thing has all the aerodynamics of a brick....20MPG highway is my guess....at 65 mph-ish. Start cruising at 80 and those turbos will increase fuel demand.
I considered BB and add the locker but between the sand while on the beach and the dogs, I really prefer the MGV. It also allows me to throw a bimini on it and run without the roof for the summer in OBX without a care. And I get to add the AWD on the BD which is nice in the snow, heavy rains at...

everyone else, chill, there is a 5/60 warranty that covers the pan.
It's all personal choice after a 1000 B&P mock ups, the BD, 2.7 with mid seems like the best choice for what I am looking for with price considerations. I would have preferred a torsen front diff anyway for my purposes.
