So this is something I haven't noticed during winter with the heat, but not that it's warmer and I have the A/C on, I noticed when I have the fan blowing more than 1/4 speed or higher with the vent button pushed I get a blowing / whistling noise from the vents.
Even if I turn the blower off...
Let us know what you think and post sound clips if you can. This is #1 on my list for exhaust and the Borla touring is #2. I like the tone I’ve heard from Corsa on the 2.3 but worried it may be too loud for long trips.
I finally got mine back after 37 days for TSB repair. I specifically asked prior to dropping it off and still waiting for all the parts that Ford revised the part number for parts in the TSB and to make sure it’s the correct revision. Got a call a couple days later said all parts were in to drop...
I wasn’t sure if reimbursing was an actual thing or no. I assumed no but telling friends about what’s happening they’re like “well sounds like Ford owes you a payment” and I just laughed and said yeah right, lucky I have a loaner I’m not paying for.
You shouldn’t be if it’s warranty. I believe Ford does rentals through the dealer at 10 day intervals, at least that’s how my dealer tried to explain it. So after every 10 days they have to get authorization to extend the rental because my vehicle isn’t done yet.
For anyone that’s had their Bronco at a dealer for a month or more, were you able to call Ford (not the dealer) to complain? I’ve never had a vehicle in service this long that I basically made a payment on a vehicle while it sits outside and the more I think about it the more I’m not a fan of that.
Go to another dealer, they clearly don’t want to work on it. Even if it wasn’t part of the TSB (like mine) because it’s a 2023 the sound is definitely not normal.
They may be harder to sell eventually, dealers will complain that it's a manual on trade in, but a manual buyer knows exactly what they want so it normally doesn't take as long as one would think to sell.
My dealer is only charging me half hour labor to install. Not sure what labor rates are these days but that still less than $100 to retain my factory warranty.
I’ll have to check my calendar but pretty sure I’m closing in on a month or close to. Had a really good chat with the shop forman yesterday about it, how they got the new revision parts and had to wait on a bearing puller. He said it’s the first Bronco manual they’ve had to pull and disassemble...
Love the stripes. Kinda want to do white stripes on my shadow black but it’s definitely not as fancy as yours! Sharp looking and I’ve enjoyed your YT channel as a fellow Base owner.
