  1. Not a bash poll more of opinion poll on do I buy my Bronco knowing about the 2.7 Motor issues?

You're making the assumption the individual mechanic at the dealer is going to do as good of a job installing the engine as the factory. Guess what? He's paid to do the job as fast as possible, not as quality as possible, as fast as possible. No way I want a dealer installed engine in my...
  2. No BASE trim available in Build & Price

Then Ford should have named it the Base Camp, after all, the other models all have two syllable names. Base means basic, bottom, lowest part of something. It's not a terribly good name for a $30,000+ model.
  3. No BASE trim available in Build & Price

Maybe halting Base production to use the tops to build the higher trims.
  4. No BASE trim available in Build & Price

Heritage is a better name than Base anyway. "Base", what were they thinking?
  5. NIGHTMARE!!! Intersection Accident

There's many more crumbly bits on the front than on the side of a vehicle, so of course it looks worse. It's also designed to absorb energy and crumble.
  6. Capable Bumper questions

Certainly someone at Ford can find the part numbers for the intercooler brackets without the tow hooks. These will be common collision parts, after all. I did see some information on line when I searched, but the illustrations were poor or missing. It looks like Ford does specify the brackets...
  7. And another one! 2.7 Engine Dead on the side of GA400

Also sorry, but every time this happens, this goes through my head.
  8. Axle Failure - entire axle being replaced under warranty

Today, yes, but back in the day (70s-80s) it was cheaper to replace individual joints and boots. CV axles weren't as common then.
  9. Axle Failure - entire axle being replaced under warranty

If that CV shaft failed enough to twist the boot I'd think it would have made a lot of noise.
  10. Axle Failure - entire axle being replaced under warranty

Not so much :giggle:. If you catch a torn boot soon enough, most likely the CV joint is fine. Centrifugal force keeps moisture and debris out of the joint. I've seen CV boots completely torn in half, the joint almost dry of grease and upon disassembly of the joint, it was perfectly fine. (y)
  11. Axle Failure - entire axle being replaced under warranty

The whole axle shaft. Probably overkill , because warranty and replacing just the boot and/or joint is more work than just installing the whole axle. The joint is most likely fine.
  12. Axle Failure - entire axle being replaced under warranty

The boot wasn't installed properly or it was made incorrectly. Either it was installed twisted or the air in the boot wasn't equalized. There is enough grease in the CV joint that the boot can be installed inflated or in a state of suction. They need to be burped, like Tupperware :giggle...
  13. How to Clean Soft Tops (outer)?

I just use clean water on my tops and a soft brush if needed. Non detergent cleaners (as recommended by Haartz) only when necessary. Never an automatic car wash. I use the RaggTopp products. Best thing to do is keep the top out of the UV, either by garaging the vehicle, or using a top cover.
  14. How do I get production line photo of my Bronco?

There is somebody out there with a website that's trying to collect an assembly line photo of every available color and model combination for folks that never received a photo. I can't find the link right now though. Sorry. 😐 Found it. https://www.productionlinephotos.com Click on "Gallery"...
  15. Bronco Delivery Day Count

Or $10K to $30K ADM and get it today! C'mon boys, don't be so cheap. Your local dealer has a golf club and yacht club membership to fund. And a new Rolex Submariner on his wish list (that can cost more than a new Bronco). 🤪
  16. Factory Soft Top Asking Price?

    $900 sounds cheap.
  17. Would you pay 15k adm

Hell no. (and, I could afford it, if I wanted to). I don't care if you're Bill Gates, I'm still laughing in your face if you pay 15k over MSRP. You're enabling the dealers to do this crap, and once again, screwing over the Average Joe, who maybe doesn't have 15k to burn.
  18. Any way to change volume of the turn signal indicator?

It's loud so you can hear it with the top off.
  19. Do these wheels exist for the Bronco?

    All in good fun. :giggle:
