Sticky question.
" it depends ".
Modern warranted cars use an extra clear coat that has UV blockers in it to help make the paint live past the warranty period. Even if the owner never waxes the vehicle.
Classic paints (expensive car show ones will look way richer and deeper than factory)...
Rapid Red is only good if you are a mall crawler.
Tri-coat Paints are * insanely* expensive to fix desert pinstriping, or other damage.
TL;DR , Tri-Coat paints Rapid Red and Cyber Orange are great if you don't offroad and plan to sell/lease return.
Not so much once they get badly scratched...
Priorities brother,..... Priorities.
The BaseSquatch VS BD us a real 1st Word Problem for those of us who can wrench.
I love Ford for this dilemma.
***Should go to bed with one foot on the floor now.
Wayy too drunk and happy after seeing the B&P.
:D?✌
To make the hapless buy a BB.
Seriously, there is a lot of money to be made in giving the helpless a perfect solution.
Ford needs to maximize profits on these people to keep a wrenchable (word???) Bronco for the rest of us.
No tow package for the Base has been known for a long time.
That said;
if you are buying a Base thinking that you won't have to wrench in exactly what you prefer, the Big Bend is your answer.
Go without tow hitch.
Many Wranger rear bumper makers have a high tow hitch welded into their custom high clearance bumpers.
Hard to imagine that no one will do the same for Broncos.
Don't mean to be mean, but this is an enthusiast board.
You and I want the 7M.
The vast masses, don't.
Ford needs to maximize the Bronco's market penetration to maximize profits and keep the Bronco on production.
It's a small consolation. But real for enthusiasts.
Take rate on Jeep base 4D manual transmission Wranglers is minuscule.
Making the 10A standard on the Bronco 4D Base stuffs Jeep in the ass.
The vast majority of Base 4D Wranglers have the auto trans and hard top added for mommy mall crawlers.
This, and the Sport S ( Big Bend equivalent), is...
You're way over thinking this .
All factory vehicles come with some rake ( front lower than rear).
To help both with Federal CAFE standards and to help prevent the tail down lowrider stance when fully loaded with passengers and cargo.
The Rangers pickups have a 2.5" rake.
Jeeps have a 1.75"...
