  1. Advice for those buying a Bronco for the looks, not offroading... GO straight to 37" tires

Everything bigger than a minivan is overkill these days. What kind of overkill makes you happy?
  2. Advice for those buying a Bronco for the looks, not offroading... GO straight to 37" tires

I talked myself into 33"s on my JK too. Ended up going 35" with a 2" lift and flat fenders for clearance.
  3. Guys, I think my wife just talked me out of my Badlands build... And into a Wildtrak

THIS is the real plan. She wants the WT. You get a Badlands later. Plan on it. Happy wife, happy life.
  4. Advice for those buying a Bronco for the looks, not offroading... GO straight to 37" tires

Go straight to 37" tires. (y) 35"s are the new stock size tires. 37"s are the new upsize. An absolute rule of the 4x4 community is that if you even slightly like and want the look of the bigger tires, you will end up buying them. Buy once, cry once. Or go broke buying twice or thrice. I...
  5. Big Bend beats Black Diamond!

You're right. Thanks for the correction.
  6. Aftermarket receiver hitch availability?

Forgot to mention that integrated hitch/bumpers also fully box the rear frame. Combining the 4 hitch bolts with the 4 for the bumper , makes the rear extremely strong. Jeepers have gotten into bad rear end accidents where the vehicle hitting them is totaled. And the Jeep just needs a new...
  7. Big Bend beats Black Diamond!

AFAIK, LED taillights and headlights are standard OBX and above. LED headlights are the only LED option on the BB. Base and BD can't get either LED light set.
  8. Big Bend beats Black Diamond!

BLIS isn't integrated into the tail lights on the Bronco. They are separate, and mounted under a body color painted plastic cover. So LED taillights don't have to come with MID. This is the sensors here, the black square, on the build line pics.
  9. 3.73, 4.27 & 4.46 ratio on-road?

Technically, 5.38-5.68 would be best for the high revving Ford engines and 35-37" tires. Too bad the only axles that will take gears that deep and live a long life are, ironically, the classic Ford 9" axles. You're looking at +$10,000 swap to do that. The Bronco's OD gears are deep enough and...
  10. 3.73, 4.27 & 4.46 ratio on-road?

4.7 is the sweet spot for 33" tires. 4.47 is best with the 30" Base tires. Everything else will be slower off the line. And while a 4x4 is not for drag racing, performance gears work less in city traffic and therefore, ironically, give better stop and go MPG than "CAFE highway mileage...
  11. Base Sasquatch vs Black Diamond non Sasquatch

I am thinking about starting out with the cheapest of lifts to start. By combining a 1 3/4" or so leveling kit ( to get rid of the factory CAFE rake. Then add a small and subtle 1" body lift for extra tire clearance, if needed. It would still need bigger up travel bump stops in the rear...
  12. Bananas...

    For all the OGs.
  13. Poll:trim change i.e.:base to badlands

Do you understand what " Late Availability" actually means? :cautious: Gird your loins for not seeing a Mansquatch until 2022MY. If you can't wait that long, for whatever reason, get the 10A and live with it.
  14. Aftermarket receiver hitch availability?

Preach it! Hitches are super easy. Even though most here don't have a welders, an hour or two at a local car garage will get them exactly what they want.
  15. More Interior Options & Colors -- Ford CEO Farley is listening to Bronco6g members!

"Earthy" was a funny way for Mike to spell "Rental car leftovers" .
  16. Aftermarket receiver hitch availability?

Rear break over angle is a big deal. A lot of serious 4x4ers will never buy a regular pickup truck style hitch for this reason. No matter how cheap it was. If it was standard, this would be a bitch thread about how the low riding hitch was wasted money. And that Ford should remove it and lower...
  17. More Interior Options & Colors -- Ford CEO Farley is listening to Bronco6g members!

So,.... We can assume that the FE Navy Pier and WT camo interiors hit the market like cow patties?
  18. Aftermarket receiver hitch availability?

Hitches will be out almost instantly. The four frame holes come pre-drilled from the factory. I'll wait for a high clearance rock crawling bumper with the hitch welded in. They move the hitch higher and deeper than a seperate bolt on hitch can be.
  19. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

I just built BD with Mid Package and a Manual. Just added the roof rack and ATC first. Then add the Mid. ETA: Is that showing that I got the 10A for free??
