This one is for Wrangler, I talked to them and they said the Bronco one is waiting for the production order to come in and will be on their website soon. This is the one I want.
I have wanted to run this trail, my grandparents lived in Montecito so I have fond memories of summers in the area. Have you run Big Caliente Spring Trail? I hear its easier but also has great views.
I love them, when my kids are eating in the Bronco I don't have to worry. I did the Texas Off-Roadeo, it was hot out and they were similar to leather in sweatiness IMO.
I picked up my Bronco today, 755 days from ordering to picking up but who is counting... Van Cleve Ford was great, absolutely no bullshit whatsoever. That is the first time it has ever happen with me.
Lucky for me Bronco was unloaded from the train. My dealer said
"The carriers try to have full trucks when they send them out to us, so right now your Bronco show it just got to Kent but not to the staging for delivery. Hopefully, we will see it here in the next week or 2."
Next week or 2...
The Rail car with my Bronco has been sitting in Wenatchee for 2 days, just over the Cascade mountains from Seattle (~2.5 hr drive). I had no idea rail freight was so slow!
Awesome, this is what I am planning on doing with my Badlands. Do you have part numbers for the Raptor hitch and reinforcing parts?
Edit: Thanks to @flip Part number NB3Z-17D826-A
Tow ratings are funny, I used to assume the real max was ~50% of the rating and ~30% for comfortable towing. This roughly lines up with my 2nd gen Tacoma which is rated at 7,000 lbs. which would be insane and scary. With my 3,000 lbs. trailer it had acceptable power, good stability, no issues...
On the pragmatic side I had been considering this, now its in my definite plans to add the Raptor style bracing. You can see how it is positioned to resist the bending moment. It may not clear non Raptor exhaust but having something fabbed up doesn't seam too challenging.
My trailer loaded is...
@Backwater What height of drop drop hitch are you running? Still shouldn't bend, just asking for context as I'm going to be pulling my off-road trailer well, off-road which is typically more load than an on road stop. I had been eying the the braces from the raptor to the tow hitch.
If the 12V power was applied on the bench with no or too high of current limit then it could melt the insulation if there was a short in the component. On the vehicle the fuse should blow before melting the insulation, It seams unlikely that the wire gage in a fuel system component is wrong but...
