My crew is to heading to Greenwater and NF-7030 towards Stamped Pass. Of course that is far too long to get to the pass so its just and out and back. Anyone is welcome to join us.
@SuzH Sorry, I don't want to kill the community vibes! Is there someone what could scout Tinkham before? If there is a giant snow pile that is rock hard winching 1 rig over it can be dicey, much less 6-8 rigs, half of them or more being new shiny Broncos. Snoqualmie has always been difficult...
Here are the snow wheeling options I know of, I would say one of the options out of the Greenwater area is my vote but I'm open if others have opinions.
Mt Baker/ Hyw 2
- Tonga Ridge: Classic snow wheeling spot, can be busy
Snoqualmie Pass:
- Tinkham road/Hansen Creek: Close in but blocked by...
I have 2 other buddies with their trucks coming, an 80 series land cruiser and a Jeep XJ coming. I have a winch and so does the XJ. The only think I know of central is Tinkham road but I have not wheeled it before. Gaia show 20-40" there. I think we need to look at the avalanche conditions as we...
@AzGoat I'm going, went last time and rolling my Taco as my Bronco at lest 6 months out. I have room for shotgun if you don't have a rig and what to go.
Pure speculation here but... Looking at the B and C pillar braces on the Bronco Raptor makes me suspicious that body flex may be part of the issues with the hard top noises. If the body is flexing it could be very hard to keep the roof quiet. It seams odd to add the B pillar brace when they made...
You have price protection so no issue, add it to your build and you get the same thing for the same price. I am going to be using an aftermarket bumper so its great for me as I still get the price protection for it but have removed it so it $575 toward the aftermarket bumper.
@Tippster Gaia is showing ~20" on the upper part of North Fork Road and 2"-4" at the beginning. I have found Gaia to be very accurate, abet it updates every few days and so can be wrong in the amount that has melted off or fallen in that time.
