Hmmm...I wonder if the fill plug from the OEM rear differential would fit? Since I am no longer using it, I could use it in the transfer case. Thoughts?

Are you just going to leave it as is or try to get a plug with a magnet? I like the idea of a magnet taking out what metal it can collect.

I am not sure if that is by design? Maybe it has to do with supply constraints? I will call my dealership tomorrow to inquire. I have not been able to find the OEM drain plug anywhere online.

Please beware...my transfer case drain plug did not have a magnet. The drain plug was identical to the fill plug. CarbonSteel has confirmed the drain plug should have a magnet. This is another reason to drain your fluids early. I will now order a drain plug with a magnet and change the fluid again.

Are the interior plastics noticeably different?

Do you have the torque specs? Did you put the 75w-140 gear oil in the front and the rear?

You are correct! I ordered 2/1/2022 from an honorable dealer in Nashville, Two Rivers Ford. I took delivery 6/4/23. They honored my price protection. Price protection had to be renewed quarterly through the end of 2023.

Try using painters tape to track down the source.

Rokblokz mud flaps and Dr. Colorchip paint touch-up kit is what you need to look into.
