Okay I’ll bite. I have the Icon kit with icon UCAs on my bronco currently and droop travel hasn’t caused any problems. I’ve jumped it, Rock crawled it, and smashed whoops with it at 50-60 mph. I’ve been in for an alignment three times since I had this kit and haven’t had any issues getting it...
Thanks for your feedback. We came to the conclusion of these kits after reading forum posts, watching videos, physically running some of these kits, and by collecting real world testimonials. You might’ve seen some of my posts on Facebook.
We had zone or icon listed since they are basically the...
We were torn between the eibach springs and 5100s for that price point. Check out this video from shock surplus that we used as part of our research. The video is a little back and forth but they gave really good feedback on the 5100s which helped us ultimately decide on the eibach springs...
Sure thing, I hear you and I’m not here to argue. We made this guide easy to read, simple, and gave a solid description about each kit. It’s already a long post. Those specs would be that much more info to take in for the majority of our target audience who are new to the off-road scene or...
The only high end kit I’ve been able to personally get my hands on to try out are the Fox 2.5s and I can tell you that they were a night and day difference. I had them on the firmer side for on the street and it was a perfect ride to me. Off-road you can soften them up for slow crawling comfort...
I don’t believe the sas springs would fit. The hoss 2.0 struts are 2.0” diameter whereas the 6112s are a 2.5” diameter strut.
A good rule of thumb is to use 2.5” ID springs for a 2.0 shock and 3” ID spring for 2.5 shocks
That’s precisely why we made this detailed list. With multiple factory suspension options, it lead to a lot of misinformation and confusion and frankly, we were tired of it.
One way you could think about it is if base suspension is at 0”, badlands is at 0.5” and Sasquatch is at 1”. A 3” lift...
Haha that’s been a popular request! We are definitely working on that one! That one will be a bigger post that encompasses a wider range of suspension from hoss 1.0 and up! Stay tuned!
There’s plenty of reason to swap out suspension pieces on Sasquatch, including larger tires, increased ground clearance, and increased off-road performance and yes, increased ride comfort. There is a group of people that think stock is best, no problem in that mindset, but most of the time they...
We grouped the radflo coilovers in with the higher end kits that we didn’t discuss here. I haven’t heard of Mikellis but that sounds like it would fit in with our Broncbuster honorable mention!
Our goal was lift kits on the lower end of the spectrum, $1800 isn’t cheap but that is the highest we...
Correct! The eibach coilovers, we thought sounded like a good option for low speed off-road or street/daily drivers. The 6112 on the other hand also offers preload adjustment, allowing you to adjust for heavy bumpers. We decided the 6112 is more for the harder off-roader.
Simply put, the...
These lift kits WILL work with non sas Badlands! The non sas badlands is the exception because it also uses the factory Bilsteins!
The difference between the sas shocks and badlands shocks is the badlands has a roughly 0.5” shorter shock, otherwise they are the same! The only kit I’d be...
We didn’t want to overwhelm people with technical terms. There isn’t a one size fits all recommendation for those things. Spring rates and preload is too dependent on each person’s use. There are no valving changes for 3 out of 5 of these kits and we covered that the 6112s have digressive...
My buddy that took these shocks out to Baja used the eibachs with a body lift to fit 37s. You could always do that or even check out ARB Old man Emu shocks. ARB is a big name in overlanding
Simply increase the ride height adjustment for when you’re loaded up with gear! Our lift heigh measurements are specific to Sasquatch. Yes, if you are loaded up, your max height will not quite be the same as our measurements but they certainly won’t put you below your current ride height
We love the SVC collars too! We included those under the rpg collars. Rpg just has different ride height for a more custom lift height whereas SVC is 2.5” front and rear
For 37s, I would go with one of the 3” kits like icon or readylift. 37s will fit on the rpg collars but there’s not much clearance and it’s very possible to rub. The top hat spacer on the other kits allows for a longer compressed length, meaning at full tuck, your tire won’t crunch your fenders
