Hey man. So there’s also an eibach stage 1 lift kit that is struts and and springs for I think around $1100 that gives up to 2.8” front lift height over non sas. We just didn’t include it in this list to avoid too much eibach bias
I imagine there’s some type of hindrance in making one. Otherwise, you’d think there would be one out by now. I would definitely have preferred a square back over a slant back
I used Icon’s spacer kit that is designed for the stock shocks. Then I used Icon’s very own UCA to go with their very own spacer kit.
This isn’t a bash post, simply an informative one because it obviously isn’t clear to someone who may think they are compatible.
I’m sorry if I offended you by...
I wanted to say it looked to be around maybe 1 3/4” max but after looking at the install directions they say it’s a 1” top spacer and 3/4” preload spacer for the front
You would think they’d have made it a little more clear on their website.
Their original solution (early batch) didn’t work together with their parts either. The billet UCA was contacting the resi hose on their coilovers. You’d think they have this stuff sorted out and clarified before...
Hey man, I’m gonna send you a message as to not blow up the forum thread, but yes, it sounds like the perch collars or a full coilover replacement are your best options
That’s interesting. It almost sounds like they are considering the rear sway bar as part of hoss 3.0. Which if that’s the case, then you can’t go full hoss 3.0. I’m not saying go full hoss 3.0, I’m just saying get the just the hoss 3.0 tie rods if they fit. I’m not 100% on if they fit or not...
I wouldn’t beef up the tie rods too much without doing anything to the rack. You can still beef up the tie rods but they still need to be the first breaking point. The Broncbuster braces are pretty beefy, it would take a lot to break them or the tie rods with them on, therefore breaking the...
It doesn’t look like I’d have an issue with them if I removed the spacers. But I’m on 37s so I need the lift height. I actually originally ordered this kit as a placeholder while I waited for Fox to be in stock. I sent Icon an email yesterday. Waiting to hear back
These are great questions, I’m also in the southeast doing the same type of riding that you probably would do
I’d shoot for a 3” lift. I’d run new UCAs for anything 3” or higher. Rear links aren’t the most necessary if you aren’t looking for more articulation, which tbh, I’d put more priority...
I’ve seen that thread, but it’s kind of irrelevant to my issue, I’m not running aftermarket coilovers. Just saying that with the factory shocks there should be no issues, especially with a product from Icon. My original post wasn’t necessarily asking about why it’s doing that, more so asking if...
I’m not saying the top hat spacer increased shock travel. But it increased how far the wheel can droop just do the essentially lowering the entire coilover assembly
No I think it’s been rubbing the entire time. This is just the first time I noticed it. It’s definitely not the ball joint causing the issue. I’m sure it has something to do with the top hat spacer causing it to droop too far but I find it odd that that happens, considering Icon coilovers have...
