It’s not necessarily an issue. I plan to keep the factory spare size (35”) but there are plenty of posts about creaks and noises from the rear door. Some of those are due to bump stop gaps, but that tire back there is heavy. Rock it back and forth a bunch on a trail and I could see how over...
I will need a delete kit once they come out with rear bumpers that have a tire carrier mount. I don’t want the weight of the tire flexing the rear door long term so I plan to get a bumper mount, which by default will require a delete of the stock mount.
I’ve only ever been able to get homelink systems to program properly by using a remote. I program the universal remote to my garage opener, and then use the remote to teach the homelink.
Hmm, interesting take. Do you have a tire you’d recommend that would tick all those boxes? Personally, I’m looking for something that has some aggressive look to it, performs well Offroad, but performs great onroad and are relatively quiet. Having read a ton of reviews, I was thinking the...
@Packman , does the mirror system record the cabin at all? Thinking of someone approaching the vehicle from the side and getting into it while parked - would it capture anything?
Anyone seen any aftermarket bumpers out yet that have a rear tire mount? I think it would save some long term issues with the door hinges, especially if other items like rotopax etc are adding weight to the tire.
Found these options on a stereo website, no idea if they work:
Before beginning the master reset, make sure the vehicle is in park. It can’t be running or set in accessory mode. It is also a good idea to be familiar with all of the controls. This process will erase all of the data from the...
Yeah, the paint is expensive. I’ve budgeted $10k for it based on initial verbal quotes without them actually seeing the bronco yet. I’m hoping it comes in more like $7k since all the panels and doors are removable making for easier sanding/painting. I got the squared-off fenders from ADV...
So I’m ordering my bronco with Oxford white. My plan has always been to get a custom paint job in old school brittany blue. Eventually there may be a white hard top available, which could sway this decision. My question to the group here, cuz I’m 50/50 on this right now - if you were to go...
Yep, and they’ll likely get bumped further before it’s over. Pick your poison - supply chain constraints, personnel constraints, Covid, recalls, fixing other rigs, choosing to pump out more types of vehicles instead of the bronco, whatever.
Man. Amazing How-to. Thanks for this. Where did you get your diagrams? Is there some manufacturing manual somewhere I’m not aware of? Would love to know how to pull other parts of the trim around the bronco as well.
I’ve only ever been able to make Homelink work by using the original remote to teach the homelink. One time I had lost the original remote, so I had to go buy a cheap universal remote and teach it to match the opener, then used it to teach the homelink.
I think I saw a link on here somewhere to the manufacturing manual, where it provides this type of info. I think it requires a subscription to access, but you can print to pdf what you need. I’ll look around here to see if I can find it.
