  1. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

That's insane. My local shop charged me $150 to install both an amp and a sub in my Jetta Sportwagen. I'll be installing my own amp in the Bronco. I'm waiting for better subwoofer solutions to come along though. I'm not keen on taking up precious cargo space with an exposed sub (not to mention...
  2. Bronco standard sound system 6 speaker upgrade DIY writeup w/ instructions (dash & kick panel speaker removal) & wiring diagram

I believe amplification is almost always the most beneficial upgrade in almost any vehicle, but particularly in a noisy/topless vehicle like the Bronco where you will need that additional power to drive higher volume levels without distortion.
  3. Bronco standard sound system 6 speaker upgrade DIY writeup w/ instructions (dash & kick panel speaker removal) & wiring diagram

The amp will connect directly to the stereo unit (a pre-made wiring harness will help). The new speakers will simply connect to the existing speaker wires (you'll want connection harnesses though). Hoel Wiring sells both. With the connection harnesses the speaker replacement is as simple as can...
  4. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

The selling point here is the slot in the top to go over the headrest so I’m not having to stuff a towel under the headrest to keep it in place. The Ford logo is a nice bonus - makes it look just a bit more “purposeful.”
  5. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

I just ordered a pair of these. They’re perfect. Thanks!
  6. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

Only if they followed Bronco accessory protocol and priced these at $150. ;)
  7. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

YES, I think those are the ticket! Thanks!
  8. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

I've read a few reviews for some of the covers with the "slip resistant" backing (like the ones in your link) that claimed the rubber nubs damaged their synthetic leather seating. I don't intend to actually sit on the covers so this may not be an issue, but...
  9. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

I just don’t know if they would be long enough to cover the entire seat. I’ve looked at hooded towels but they all seem to come in kids sizes, so way too short. They tend to not stay in place, so you come out to a car with a cool seat but a hot back.
  10. Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

As expected, the MGV seating gets hot in the sun. We've resorted to covering the seats with a blanket when we leave it parked somewhere with the top off. Something you take off the seat when you return to the vehicle to keep the leg burns at bay. Clearly a blanket isn't the easiest approach. Is...
  11. New weather resistant sub enclosures

Looks great! Would love to see a slightly slimmer option with a 10” woofer. Cargo space in the Bronco is at a premium and I don’t need enough low frequencies to blow the doors off.
  12. Katzkin Install Results - MGV Upgrade to Leather Seat Covers (Autumn color)

Amen. The MGV is, to me, the perfect seating material. Especially in a recreational vehicle like the Bronco. But seat ventilation sure would be nice.
  13. $100.00 deposit

Mine wasn't applied to my purchase. In fact, my dealership told me they've not seen a single customer get that deposit refunded by Ford. My guess is it's the dealership that's confused here. I plan to call Ford about that as well as my 22.5 price protection, which I also have not yet seen rebated.
  14. Ford Accessories Grab Handles Back In Stock

I'd love the red handles if not for the blue tabs on the vents and the effing blue stitching on the seats. 🤬
  15. Should I get a Ford Cargo Enclosure

Yes, but now you're nearly triple the price of the Ford (Tuffy) version. Too rich for my blood. Are there any other competitors out there? Frankly the Ford (Tuffy) version would be great with a little extra work. Weld some nuts to some panels, add some twist knobs to logical locations...
  16. Should I get a Ford Cargo Enclosure

Would it be possible to flip the sub to the seat side of that molle panel? Is there enough space between seat and panel, particularly when the seat is reclined? (Well, if you can call that extra 1/2" adjustment Ford gives you "reclined.) It would be great if a sub could fit into that space...
  17. Custom Bronco badging for cancer survivor presented to wife

This is awesome. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 6. She was only 30. That was over 40 years ago and the wound is still fresh. Kudos to your wife for claiming victory over that monster!
  18. Door Holders Using PVC Pipe -- When Off vehicle

How much less space could you reasonably use for each door "slot?" I'm thinking of building mine with 5 slots, one for holding the center MIC panel.
