What are your amp gains at? You may be enabling compression early because you're overdriving your inputs. Try to run the gains as low as possible so you're not sending clipped inputs to the amp. Start around half. I'm not used to high level inputs because it's not a great way to get good sound...

You’re not going to lose highs by not going coax down there.

I use a PC to find and save routes and they are automatically there on the phone, which I then download. You may find this easier.

I ordered some ABS to make plates for the dash speakers. I'm going to template the opening with cardboard, then cut some acrylic so I can trace the opening and see if something other than a 4" coax will fit in there. Looking to put a 2.5-3" mid and tweeter in there if possible. It blows my mind...

Just for reference, here's a crossover calculator, you can ignore the lowpass, put in the frequency you want to crossover at and remember, it's just a 6db filter with just a cap so you probably want to go higher than you would think. The stock cap is 100uf which is around 400hz...

That's not true for the dash. The dash speakers go through the kick panel speakers and have a capacitor built into the speaker. You do need them up front.
