V8s are cool no doubt and there are plenty of classic and older broncos if one needs to have a v8. windsors, big blocks, etc. and aftermarket parts galore.
Enjoy the era of the turbos! Years ago I would have thought people were nuts if I heard we were getting twin turbo broncos!

I've run it like this before around town with a kayak or lumber poking out the back. Or just on a nice day so the dog can look out. No bungee and it seems to do just fine.
I'd feel less comfortable on the highway like this or on bumpy off-road conditions.
"Need" is totally subjective here. The engine will probably go 150,000+ miles with or without one.
Some people have identified the benefits and think they are worth adding them. There are many articles online that discuss turbo motors and catch cans and it goes beyond just the engine valves.
Whoah! As an enthusiast I really think some of these ideas are worth entertaining... but as an enthusiast I know we can be hard to accommodate by big corporate.
Problem is garage space... I would have a hard time keeping the money in my pocket if some of these ideas made their way into reality...

Technically these trucks don't have a drain plug from the factory. It's a fill plug. Unless of course you suck out the fluid from the rear end then I guess you could argue. Magnetic non the less.
