Typically I average about 20-22 with a 2" lift and 285/70/17 SL tires on my 3.73 geared 2.7 with FP tune. Back when I was running my 30" highway terrains and no lift I could pull 28-30 mpg at 55 miles an hour. 13 seems very low.

Why do you want to go to a taller tire? If it's mostly a pavement princess then I would stick with a standard load range 285/70/17. This is as big as they come before you get into the heavy LT tires. LT only adds weight and won't ride as well on pavement.

Good to know thanks! Makes sense what you say about the 75w140. Right now I have some supertech 80w90 front and rear. Trutrac in the rear and the literature says 80w90 so I run with that but haven't experimented with other weights. I will however consider some 75w-140 for the front.

Check your manual. Mine states 80w-90 front and 75w-85 rear. Is it going to make a different if you run the same weight in both? I'll let you make that call.

Both were tremendously reduced. The 2" higher ride height is a great spot for these trucks in my opinion. It actually gives them offroad performance and a nice 4x4 stature.

I've been very happy with these things. There's just so much more shock to play with and they feel more confident on road too. I can beat on the truck so much harder than I could with the factory setup.

285/70/17 is a great option to consider. Especially the standard load range if the rig sees primarily pavement duty.
