Badlands was easy choice. Considered Black Diamond as I wanted MGV and washout floors, but switched to Badlands to add more off-road goods (better front axle with locker and sway-bar disconnect) ⦠i.e., to be comparable to a Jeep Rubicon (Iām a former Jeep guy). Didnāt SAS as I wanted...
Congrats! Iām not far. Used to live in Cary/Apex but am now right in between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill. But wife just had major surgery so Iām not able to get away for 2-3 months.
Gosh, so sorry to hear of top issues that folks are having. Glad I switched to soft top in May 2021, which also got me my Bronco 1-2 years sooner (at MSRP).
Damn, your rig is sick! Sweet š Iām anxious to lift mine more (my 97 TJ was lifted 5.5ā) but that was heavily wheeled and was before I met my lovely but vertically challenged wife š
Thatās what I understand too. But again, what Iām surprised about is that his wifeās Sahara cost as much as a Badlands. Thatās crazy! Iāll just go on Jeep site today in order to better understand Jeepās pricing.
Nice ride! Iām loving my ā21 Badlands that Iāve had for 16 months. Thatās interesting that your wifeās Sahara cost the same as your Badlands SAS Lux, as the Jeep would seem to be much less equipped (eg, no lockers and lessor suspension, tires and tech)
In 2015 all 4 factory Pirelli tires on my new Mustang GT developed multiple bulges within 3000 miles. Ford defaulted to the tire manufacturer but Pirelliās warranty (prorating) is the worst. Bought a set of Michelins and the best my Ford dealer could do was to match the best available online price.
Iām confused. Heās only getting 2 yr warranty on the new engine? Doesnāt the vehicle have 5 yr / 60K drivetrain warranty that would cover the engine? Does he mean 2 yr on top of the 5 yr?
Iāll say it again ⦠4 dr all the way for me! As long time owner of 2 dr 97 Wrangler, I always felt 4 dr looked better when it came out. Dreamed about 4 dr for over a decade, became Ford (mustang) fan in between, so when I reserved Bronco in July 2020 it had to have 4 doors ⦠so sexy!
Old topic thatās been discussed before. Many owners here like their soft top. I love mine. Itās better than the one on the 97 Jeep Wrangler I owned.
