  1. Torn between tire sizes and cannot decide on my 2-door non SAS 3.73 bronco

2 door 3.73 SL285/70r17 user here with a 2 inch lift. I think it's a great well rounded combo but each bronco is unique. Was originally set on 315s but really happy with where I am. Sorry I can't help you decide but a 0 offset rim is either for big tires or to make a statement going down the...
  2. Bronco As A Utility Vehicle

Sounds cool! I've found that a swing out tailgate is not super ideal versus a drop down tailgate for loading stuff... harder to load with a fork truck etc.. the cargo area is more for soft goods and stuff, not like pallets or drums like you'd get in a truck box but maybe you can find solutions...
  3. Swiss Alps Badlands: A Bronco across the ocean

Very cool and congrats on your new ride! It must be especially cool having a bronco in Europe because of the contrast to the average car in the area. Do keep us posted if you adventure out to the deserts or mountains! You have many memories ahead.
  4. I can relate, the older I get. How about you 1980's babies?

"The internet is really good at spending your money" 🤣
  5. Need advice: Bilstein 5100 vs. 6112 (or mixed setup)

People downplay the stock hitachis all the time but they are great for the majority of drivers. If you have dreams of high speed off-roading or 35's then yes the hitachis might feel lacking. I beat the heck out of my highway terrain 30s and hitachis before I upgraded.
  6. Need advice: Bilstein 5100 vs. 6112 (or mixed setup)

I have a 2 inch lift with 6100's and 33's. They are a LOT of shock compared to the Hitachis and you can go a lot faster offroad. You can go way faster off-road with 6100 if that is what you do. I'm sure the 5100's are great too. Depends on what you'll do with your truck. If you're going to do...
  7. Has anyone had cracking/problems with the painted hardtop?

Yes 100%, it's almost completely all about image and a reflection of one's chosen personality. I would say that the majority of sasquatch bronco owners will never even use the diff locks or see much more than a gravel road. Also consider that the average car sits for 95% of the time. The actual...
  8. Has anyone had cracking/problems with the painted hardtop?

Yeah I mean the MIC top probably slightly more utilitarian. For instance maintenance, like waxing and taking care of the paint, etc. MIC is basic, nothing fancy, just wash it with a sponge. But the MIC tops all seem to crack sooner or later so you could make an argument for the painted tops...
  9. Hard Top Lift Recommendations?

If you're renting. How many times a year are you going to take it off and for how long is it going to stay off? You have any neighbors that can help for 15 minutes and have a beer or something?
  10. Driver side window stolen with heater.

Sorry. Check Ebay or Car-part.com for something. The rear view assembly is pretty easy to take apart with a few tools.
  11. 2027 Bronco Filson: Specs, Price, Features, Everything You Need to Know

Heard rumors about dropping the 2.7 and just having a 3.0 but I thought that was just f150. Who knows we will see. As for the detuned 3.0 ford did this with the Lincoln aviator version of the explorer whereas the ST got the 400 hp. This filson is targeted for the premium luxury crowd so I...
  12. OEM “FoMoCo” 2.7ltr Oil Filter Iteration?

I sure do miss crawling under the truck fighting with some stuck spin on filter in some awkward position while a mess of oil gets all over.
  13. First oil change dilemma 2.7 OBX

The owners manual is a great reference. Oil change intervals according to the oil life monitor, minimum synthetic blend, no special first oil change interval. Seems like this is how Ford prescribes it.
  14. First oil change dilemma 2.7 OBX

The first oil change is arguably the most important because it has all the particles from the engine break in. Some people even do a couple of oil changes early on as the engine breaks in but probably the mass majority of people on the road just go by what the oil life indicator says and don't...
  15. Oil change cost - how much?

Is it OK to flush out all the old oil with the garden hose?
  16. Base bronco 2dr tire upgrade suggestions

My apologies! I'm getting too old and senile for the forums nowadays. Thow the sizes into one of those online tire size calculators and it will spit out the dimensions and a graphic. I'm not a LT tire user because I'm on the street 99% of the time. 285/70r17 is the last size for lightweight...
  17. Base bronco 2dr tire upgrade suggestions

I mean you're probably wasting money getting rid of your firestones based on 95% on road and 5% light offroad. 285/75r17 only comes in LT which you should probably steer clear of based on what you described.
  18. Base bronco 2dr tire upgrade suggestions

My suggestion is to wear out your firestones before you get something different. Based on what you described the firestones fit the build quite nicely. Are you just going after looks? What is the width of your ranger wheels? The photo looks like those are black diamond wheels.
