That’s what I found most of the feedback on the kick panel speaker upgrades to say, with the exception of some seemingly very positive statements made about the MJP6 that suggested that mid bass “thump” was markedly improved. So, I figured I would ask.

So I've looked through the forums about the speaker upgrade options for the B&O 10 speaker system. At this point, I'm not ready to look at an amp upgrade and plan to see if the stock B&O amp will suffice. Thus far I have replaced all four corners with Hertz 100.3 and its a definite step up...

Nice job on the bracket fabrication and mounting! This looks like a nice solution. I'm going to be installing new speakers in the 4 corners on my B&O Wildtrak as a start to see how it goes, but I suspect I will end up with something like this at some point.

I hadn't considered the dirt in the speaker factor. How much dirt are we talking about here? If you don't off-road with the top off or windows down at all or seldom, I imagine this wouldn't be a factor? It does make you wonder if a component approach might be worth considering.

So I've read through as much as I could find and it seems like the best place to start to upgrade the B&O for clarity, soundstage and overall sound quality is the 4 corners, dash and rear pods. It seems like this makes a big difference for most and a good place to start that may either be good...

Gotcha. I looked under the bumper and while the metal bracket on the frame still has two holes, it appears the plastic bumper doesn't even have threads or a hole at all. From what I can tell, Ford omitted the bolt as well as the hole/threads it used to go into the bumper itself.

Awesome. I saw a couple posters mention rubbing/clearance issues with Sas on the fronts, but it was unclear if they changed lift/offset/tires etc, which is why I asked. I guess the bracket does take up some room. I don't plan to do any of those things, so my assumption would be not to expect...
